 Good Evening Everyone!

I think I am cooled off enough to post now.  I was so mad at work by the end of the day I was in tears.  They have us in a catch 22 position and when I tried to discuss this with a supervisor she just replied -- yes it is a catch 22 and no matter what you do, you will be warned about doing wrong because there is no way to do it right but you still have to do it!  GRRRRR.  I was making a store complaint for a customer and had been told in November that I needed to do it a certain way.  So in December I did it the way I was told and still got coached on the way I did it.  Every time we get coached it counts against us.  So would someone please tell me why anyone in their right mind would voluntarily help a customer if it was going to get them in trouble?   The supervisor just could not understand why this upset me.  I think I need a new job.

I went to the neurosurgeon today and he confirmed that I have to have surgery.  I have a bone scan next Tuesday to see how extensive the surgery will be.  He showed me my MRI and normally you can see your spinal cord on the MRI and it shows up anywhere between the size of a nickle and a quarter.  On my MRI the spinal cord was not there because it was completely compressed by discs and arthritis and bone growth.  I wonder how I am even walking?  No wonder it hurts so bad.  Surgery will probably be the end of January.

So, it has been an eventful day.  I am ready for a new day!

Have a great evening
!

Nancy, as I have learned over the last 31+ years in my job which has included customer service in a different realm that - you always need to get EVERYTHING in print and hopefully that is the situation for you. Customers are fickle and especially the ones today that lie their arsies off to get what they think is coming to them. I cannot think of anything but the kids rhyme of - lyer, lyer pants on fyier . . . ( I know some of that is spelled incorrectly)

On a side note I am not happy for your impending surgery. Both you and my Dave will be in my prayers for that time frame.

Thanks for the response.  For the most part, we have to believe our customers.  That is the corporate policy.  And in this case, the store did indeed act incorrectly.  Unfortunately, there is no set directions for this case.  Everything in writing is extremely vague.  That is why I am fighting to get it cleaned up and cleared up.  I am NOT going to be in a damned if you do and damned if you dont situation.  I am there to provide the customers service and help with their problems.  When our store associates do not follow procedures, they do need to be reported.  The problem is there is no way to report them without getting yourself in trouble.     There are procedures for non contract customers but when it comes to contract customers, everything is in the air.  That stinks!
