Wednesday Roll Call

Fast fly by for me as I need to walk to work soon. Work I am not looking forward to as I had "words" with my co-worker, the tattle tale yesterday. Long story short - I told her that the communication in our office "stinks". It all stemmed over an email she sent out over her creating a folder on the "C" drive for some documents for all of us to share. I mentioned to her that the folder is only good on her PC and it would be better if on the Records S drive. She tried to back peddle and say that our IT guy never told her that each PC has its own C drive and then she went into that this is all about an email that she sent out a few weeks ago (and another girl responded to her, supposedly), then she said she sent it out 6-8 months ago and then she said a year ago. . . She cannot keep her stories straight. AND the communication stinks from her end of the office because the other girl and I get phone calls from people she talks with and she does not tell us that they might call to follow up with her. We also have a collection agency for unpaid ordinance tickets and she has yet to give us any information on it - going on close to a year now. I think that she is trying to make a name for herself and it is a control issue that only she knows about this or that. Thanks for letting me rant.

I am also out the door shortly. Then tonight, probably going to supper with some friends. I am letting the car warm up now. Aren't remote starts on cars nice to have at this time of year.

Hello everyone

Oh Christine I feel for you.  I hate people like your coworker.  My coworker that does that just loves getting people into trouble.  She will see two people standing in my cubicle and say we are socializing...we are talking about a problem pertaining to WORK!!!  She runs and tells my boss and my boss will say something to me about it.  I then explain that we were working NOT socializing.  UGHHH!!!!  I blame my boss for encouraging this behavior.

I am of course doing nothing today but work and working out...like always.

There is something about this broad & my boss that everyone in my department is watching and is leary of (for a couple of years - but it takes that long in law enforcement to get you in trouble) and it is more than I can go into because this is a public forum.

I am working today, then taking the next FIVE DAYS OFF!!!!!  The boss changed our Monday off to Friday and I had one day left to use.  This means I HAVE to take tomorrow off.  Since I already had plans to be off next Monday, I am keeping that plan and taking a mini-vacation! 
We are having the grandkids over tonight and will do "something" with them tomorrow.  I am also hoping to maybe get into the city to visit some friends.

Sorry about your co-worker, Chris.  It seems that there is one in every bunch.

Dawn, this co-worker has been a really bad apple for a couple of years. There is a lot of unsavory things going on - for a long time. She is favored by the supervisor, but strange she was highly disliked for several years by him. I know a lot more that I cannot go into . . . more a fantasy on his/her part and they play off of one another, everyone sees through it all. When I call her the tattle tale it is just what she is - telling on everyone including myself, the other girl in my office and the officers.

Good afternoon Illinois,
Today is not a very good day in my little corner of the world.  I have to admit, so far so good after surgery.  Of course the normal bumps in the road but I thought the worse was behind me.  WELL..... NOPE!  I have been having some pain on the right side.  This pain has been off and on for the last week or so, but I thought it would have passed by now.  Nope!  I ended up calling my dr and the nurses today as when I would move the sharpness would bring tears to my eyes.  Come to find out, the area that I am having pain in was one of the shared ports.  Since I had both gastric and gall bladder removed this muscle area was given a real work out.  It is unfortunate that it is right on the muscles we use for sitting up, standing etc.  The nurse explained to me, that the muscles have basically been sprained and that it would be awhile before I am pain free.  I hope sooner vs later.  So, I am keeping a warm press on the pain and taking a Tylenol.  I return to work a week from today and I just want to be physically ready. 
On another note, I think my body is slowing down its weight loss.  I am sure this has to do with me still working on getting all the protein in as well as the water.  Once I am all regulated I hope the weight will start dropping again.
For exercises, I have been walking more, but really need to get back to the gym.  I think swimming will be a good starting point.

Hang in there.  There is often a stall around 3 weeks.  It will pass.  Ignore the scales for now!
