Debbie - suggestion on buying the new clothing as you shrink - resale shops. Dave and I lived in clothing from resale shops as we lost weight. I still go back to them for jeans, sweaters and general tops. Dave can always find real nice flannel shirts.

Merry Christmas Eve Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

I just finished my vitamins and need to make some coffee.  I will be staying in today, trying to rest per doctor's orders.

I decided to stop into the "Fast Care" at Shopko when I took the kids shopping last night to get a quick strep test, so I would not be contagious for the holidays.  The strep was negative, but he listened to my lungs and about fell over!  I was shocked at the rattle and wheeze that came out of me also.  He also said my ears are bulging outward indicating a build up of pressure.  He says I have acute bronchitis and  gave me a Z-pack and a 5 day steroid treatment.  I don't FEEL terrible, but I will do things around the house and send my family out for the last minute groceries.  They can pick up a few gifts if they wish, but we have plenty due to my wonderful online shopping skills!  Good luck to them!

It is snowing pretty steady here but the flakes are small and it looks more like rain.  I guess that is what is called a "snow shower"?

I really wish each and every one of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Tell someone that you love them!

Take that rest very seriously.  I few years back I had a severe upper respirtory infection.  I took a couple of days off from work and decided that I had to go back to work.  So I forced myself to go to work.  By the end of the day I was sooooo super sick.  I ended up in the ER and I had pneumonia.  The doctor said that pushing myself to work probably did me in.  I ended up having to take 10 more days off work!!!  I was told if I didn't go home and rest I would end up in the hospital.

So rest and let your family do the work or you might end up even sicker!!!!

Good morning Dawn! Merry Christmas.

Please do take care of yourself and gets lots of rest. Bronchitis is nothing to sneeze about. I had it 8 years ago and it lasted forever - turned into a sinus infection as well. I was sick for 4 months in total. I was working full time and didn't take any time off to recuperate. I felt so weak!

Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in.

Have a peaceful and restful Christmas.

Lucy

We arrived home safe and sound from Elgin. There are such idiots on the road darting in front of you and we almost had a couple of near misses with people that just "had" to get into McDonald's 2 seconds faster instead of waiting for us to pass . . . I will get off of my soap box now.

We are sitting in the house watching the snow. I am just about ready to get the Lumunaries ready to put out for lighting at dark. We are supposed to get 1-2" and then another 1" overnight. From what they say right now a possible 1" tomorrow also. We will see - the weather people are "practicing" their trade just like doctors.

At 6ish we walk to my niece's for my oldest sister's clan of 70+ family and offspring. My sister had 9 kids and they all have kids and some of those kids are all having kids. I have great-great nieces/nephews. The walk is about 6 blocks away.

Merry Christmas Lisa and Illinois!

Gently falling snow here...not sticking yet, but it keeps floating down!  Having a Christmas Eve Dinner tonight for some friends.  Made Crock Pot Italian Beef, and a variety of other goodies!  Tomorrow we go down to Chloe and Amy's.  We're taking dinner, so am taking a chicken broccoli casserole, and a few other things.  I am so over making a BIG dinner for Christmas.  There was a time it would have been a full blown turkey dinner.  I'm into nice an easy these days!!

A couple of more gifts to wrap and clean up the kitchen from this morning's cooking and I think I'll be ready.

After dinner tonight, we'll go to 10 pm Christmas Eve service.

May each of you have a wonderful and blessed Christmas.  I'm glad for my OH friends.

Merry Christmas!!

Georgie, suggestion - when you get a chance could you post the Crock Pot Italian Beef  recipe when you get a chance? That sounds wonderful. The chicken brocolli sounds good also. Dave cannot have it because he is on Coumadin but I sure can!

Chris, Merry Christmas.  I will post the crock pot italian beef when I get a few minutes.  It is EASY and YUMMY! The Broccoli Chicken is also great but a little more time consuming!
 Have a great day.

 Happy Christmas Eve Everyone!

The snow is still falling here, nice, steady and hard.  Will it ever stop snowing????  Snow, snow go away, Dont come back some other day --- enough is enough!

I am glad I do not have to go anyplace today.  Crystal, I feel your pain about Walmart.  I went twice this week (poor memory) and each time it was a nightmare.  I loved it yesterday when the clerk broke my lightbulb, then rang up the package and expected me to pay for a broken pkg of lightbulbs.  Then when I protested she took them off and I said, "that is specifically what I came in here for I want these bulbs!"  She then looked at me with daggers.  It is not MY fault that she held the package so that the bulb would drop out.  Dont blame the customer for your clumsiness.

For all of you traveling, please be careful!  Enjoy your holiday time with your loved ones.  I dont think I will be going anywhere.  Where I was planning to spend Christmas, the family has strep throat.  So my plans are cancelled.  I sure dont want that!

Have a blessed Christmas eve and Christmas day everyone!
