Merry Christmas Eve, Happy Holidays, whateverelse you want to call it, it will still be a magical week.

For all of you who are off work next week, enjoy it. For most of the rest of us, we will enjoy our weekend.

I am sure everyone has a plan for this holiday. We will start with an open house this evening, about 15 to 20 people, then to Bloomington tomorrow for dinner with our Monica and Scott. Annette and Rick will be here this afternoon to celebrate. They will stay in Yorkville tomorrow.

I am meeting a friend for breakfast this morning, then stopping at the $ store and cleaners on the way back. Then, finish everything for tonight.

Have a great weekend, stay sober, stay safe.

Huggers,
LISA

Good Morning Lisa, Karen and fellow IL friends.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

I  worked out this morning. Yikes, workout calories burned were 635 calories today! YAY!! I wear the Polar watch so it is very accurate.

Afterwards went shopping at the Jewel for the last items I needed for dinner tomorrow. I have to go pay my credit card bill this morning.

Then to finish off my chicken paprikash dish and finish cleaning the house.

Christmas Eve is at my sister's house around 5.

Karen, I hope youe recovery is going well!

Lisa, stay safe and warm on the roads today and tomorrow.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone!

Hugs,
Lucy

Merry Christmas Eve

I did so much running around yesterday.  I left my house at 5:30am and didn't come home till 9:40pm.  It was horrible at Walmart.  I had to do some groceries and buy a gift (since I had to return the first one I bought).  It took forever standing in line.  I think the lady in the line was buying food with some sort of food stamps because after every purchase she handed the lady some little piece of paper and she had to sign it...needless to say that took FOREVER!!!  I kept thinking they should have a special line for people paying like that because I was in line for at least 30 minutes.

I have everything ready for my baking marathon today.  I am making chocolate mint cheesecake, snowballs, sugar cookies, snickerdoodles and magic squares.  Yikes too much yummy stuff.

Yesterday, I caved and had 4 cookies.  So today I am going to be extra good.

Lucy- are those watches more accurate then the heart rate things on the treadmill?  I found out my target heart rate and I make sure I stay within the range for maximum calorie/fat burn.

Sounds like everyone has big plans with family.  It's starting snow now so anyone traveling be careful.  It will be a WHITE Christmas!!!

Have a great day

I strongly dislike getting behind a person with food stamps also. The clerk has to check the person out twice because you cannot buy liquor, cigarettes and other items with them. So they have to purchase in batches.

Crystal, I will agree with you about being behind someone with the old food stamps, but now they use a credit card, like we use our debit cards. Anything that the card won't accept, it will tell them they have to pay with cash. You were probably behind a person who gets WIC. those have to have the idem checked off. The women who use them are advised to keep all WIC items separated, for easier checkout. Have a great day baking.

Hi Crystal!

Yes, the Polar watch is more accurate as you have to wear a sensor strap across your chest close to the heart. It's not cheap either, as I spent $150.00 on it but it will pay for itself in the long run.  You also get accurate calories burned,etc..

You can also wear it as a sportswatch too.

Hope you had a nice Christmas Eve and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve All!!
Not much going on here in northern Illinois.  So far no snow.  Today I need to go to the bank before they close, stop at Bass Pro Shops and wrap a few presents.  My son is working today 1:00 - 7 or when ever the manager lets him go.
This will be the first yr he is not with us for Christmas Eve services.  I understand though, this is his first job and he really enjoys it.  He is so hoping they will extend his employment after the holidays.
This evening we will go to Denny's (our typical Christmas Eve meal).  Me, I think I will have mashed potatoes so something soft.  At least I can order something and not jus****ch.
Tomorrow will be quiet also.  Just us.  It is hard this time of yr for me.  I wish I could be with my mom and family but oh well, the jobs are here.  Thank God for continuous employment.  I will be in Tucson this summer so I will just plan for that trip.  Of course, I will be needing all new clothes!!!
Hope all have a safe day and enjoy your time with family.
Merry Christmas Eve
Debbie
