Tuesday Roll Call
Please be careful out there this morning. The roads are brutal. We received over 6 inches of the white stuff yesterday afternoon and early evening. It wasn't a fun time driving home yesterday.
This morning I wll be heading out early. It is about a 20 mile drive to my Tuesday/Thursday office. Then a Dr. appointment this afternoon to see about the lump in my arm. BTW, I got the statment for the MRI I had 11 days ago, $4400.00 . Thank goodness for insurance.
Have a safe and productive day.
Huggers,
LISA
I'm at work and the drive in was a piece of cake...kudos to all of the plow people!!! Yesterday was nasty, ugly weather to drive in. But the parking lot and sidewalks at work are a sheet of ice...like always. This happens every year and people are always falling. One girl even broke her arm. This is why I now wear my gym shoes to work and change them inside. What happened to the forecast I was only supposed to get an inch last night!!!! Imagine my surprise when I walked outside last night around 6:30 after my workout.
Today I am working and then working out...that is my whole life!!!
Well better get going. Have a good day and be careful. Bye...
WOOHOO! The boss is gone until after the first of the year, goodie goodie gum drops!
I need to wrap 5 more gifts tonight and then I am done for Christmas.
On a side note Dave and I were interviewed by the Elgin Courier on the phone last night for an article about WLS. I will keep you all posted when it is to publish. The writer needs to speak with 2 more people, one being my niece and someone else regarding their surgeries and also Dr Rosen.

Driving home last night seemed to take FOREVER! With the snow looking like the "star wars" screensaver and not being able to see the road, it took at least twice as long. UGGHHHH! At least I made it safely. We probably got at least 6 inches also. Not much ice on top as was predicted, and I am grateful for that. We DID go down to the mayor's and make snow angels. It is a long story, but sufice it to say it chalks up to that "Rock City" sense of humor......
This morning wasn't quite as bad, but still a bit scary. I found that I need new wipers----I could literally not see a thing when a semi got in front of me and was splashing water from the road. I will try and take care of that at lunch.
Tonight, I am attending my friend's visitation. It turns out that she had a heart attack. So very, very sad. What a loss.
I thnik I have all my presents purchased and most are wrapped. I just have some groceries to get and I am ready. Friday night, we are hanging with the neighbors and Saturday Amber's family and a few more may come out for the day.
Everyone have a safe drive.
Today is Makayla last day of School until Jan 3rd,they are having their Christmas party today. I have been doing good on eating better n smaller meals. I drink alot of water with crystal light in it(don't like plain water) and once in a while drink 1/2 a soda but it will take me all day to drink that 1/2 too. I have been working out on my Wii fit too. I was goin to workout on it last nite but by the time I got her sleep my BF wanted to watch one of his movies. I am hoping to workout today/tonite sometime. I have been tryin to do aleast 30 mins 3 times a wk I know it is not much but for me it is.

Went to the mall this morning to finish 2 last minutes gift. (I decided to buy my ex-husband and ex-inlaws a Christmas gift) and surprised my husband at work by taking him a bottle of pepsi.
Have all the wrapping to finish up today so that tomorrow I can have a total me day!
Saw the weather forcast for Christmas Eve. We will be travelin to Peru and Streator on Friday. Morgan and I were talking about what to do if the weather is to bad for us to go. We decided if we have to stay home that we will just have some appitizers for dinner on Friday and all of us will watch Christmas movies. I have never stayed home on Christmas Eve so this could be a new tradition for us. We normally go to all of the parents home's. I have already bought the ham for Christmas Day dinner.
Well it is almost lunch time an I need to figure out what I am having today. Soup or Soup anyone?
Have a wonderful day!
Well, it warmed up for awhile today and some of our snow melted. That was a good thing as my stray cat was buried under my deck! The guy who has been shoveling for me has always kept that area clear but it got blocked in last night. I tried to dig it out somewhat this morning hoping that Oreo would finish the job and she did. Of course I heard about it from her.
I got off early again today as we were not that busy. I ran some errands and then came home and decorated my wreath that I got for $9.00 at Menards last night. It looks pretty good!
Tomorrow is the last day at work for this week. Tonight I have a few packages to wrap and then I am done. Barring bad weather, I will spend Christmas day at a friends house in Princeton. Most of the family is in Florida -- sigh.
I hope everyone has a great evening!

Good evening cyber friends,
Today was quiet a day. My hubby had shoulder surgery this morning, thank goodness nothing more that bone spurs on his rotary cuff. Me, i am so tired. We had to be in Evanston at 6am. Driving down from Gurnee with the ice we left at 4:45. My hubby believes in being early. The surgery went well and we were able to leave after 12:00pm.
As for me, I am now dabbling in the puree life. I have been doing oatmeal or cream of wheat for breakfast and I love it. Of course I never make it through a bag. One of my co-workers told me it takes her 5 instant packs to make a meal. I guess that is why she is so overweight. It is amazing, how differently I look at food these days. I am personnally finding it work to eat. My taste buds are not happy. Nothing tastes good.
Tomorrow I will be 2 weeks post op. Boy this time last week, I was not feeling well mentally or physically. Really wondering what did I do to myself. Now, as of tomorrow I can take a bath and go swimming. YEAH!! Time to dust off the La Fitness membership and walk to pool. I think that will feel soooooo good.
I have my post op apt this coming Thursday. I am curious to see where the weight loss is. My pants are all getting baggy and I was able to put on an xl sweater. WOW!!
Well have a great day/evening all
Debbie
