Saturday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I changed my avatar...finally.

I had fun at the Secret Santa party at work.  I got $95 in JCPenney gift cards from my friends at work.  I also 3 Yankee candles...I love candles.  There was tons of food there too.  I stuck with my normal lunch, but I did have 3 cookies.  But I figured it was ok because the key is MODERATION. 

After work of course I worked out...no one was in the gym but us.  We had fun.  Then I went to JCPenneys to spend my gift cards.  I had fun picking out clothes.  With the sales and a coupon I had I got a lot.  I got jeans, corduroys, sweats, a t-shirt, and 2 sweaters.  

Today, I have laundry and housecleaning to do.  Turns out I don't have to work today because the computer guys decided to work on the system for maintenance.  So we can't work on the system today!!!  Woohoo!!!

Love the new avatar even though it is the one from FB! (meaning I have seen it before). Happy that you figured out how to change it. And PS - I love that we can finally see your pretty face and smile in it.

Morning all! I slept in, can't believe it. Just about ready to start bfast and then I too will be straightening up the house. Somewhere in there I need to print the rest of our Christmas letters so they can be mailed out before the PO closes for the day. This is one of the first years in a long time that we are getting the letter out before New Years. We used to have a large party the second week of Dec. and we would be concentrating on the before and after for that so we always said our letter was a 'post holiday" letter after the hustle and bustle. People got used to it. This year I decided to play with Publisher and found it was easy to use and I had fun with incerting pictures, captions, index, quotes at the side columns, text blocks you name it. We even sprung for a little heavier weight paper so it looks nicer than just copy paper.

We are off to the Creek for Christmas Eve service tonight and to meet up with one of Dave's former co-workers that will be at the 430 service also.

PS - you made a haul with your shopping!

Good Morning Crystal and Everyone.

I really enjoyed myself last night at our Xmas gettogether. I ordered  broiled Red Snapper with a twice baked potat and soup. I brought home  2/3s of the fish and the whole potato. I do mean whole. They sliced a thin slice of potato off a #90, fix it and serve it whole. It has to weigh over 1 lb.

Today  I have an errand to run, clean a bit, and go to Bloomington for a Hockey Game with Monica V and her DH. Another fun filled day.

But first, we have to take Dh car to the shop. His tires keep losing air,  Maybe a bad stem?

Crystal, I love gift cards too. They give you the impression that you are playing with funny money, and you are getting things for free.

Lisa-  I had a slow leak on my tire once and took my car to discount tire.  It turned out to be a nail.  I couldn't see it because it was way inside the tread.  They were able to fix it and it only cost me $20. 

Lisa, ditto what Crystal said about the nail in the tire as we had the same thing with it being a screw. It is worth your while to have it checked for a screw or nail. It is a fairly cheap fix.

Yep, it was a nail, plus he is having an oil change and a couple of other issues. According to thier records, his Monte Carlo hasn't been in the shop since 2008.

Good Morning.

Crystal the new pic is wonderful!  I had a customer bring me a whole tray of homemade cookies yesterday and work and said I did not have to share them with anyone at the office.  We went over to a friends last night and I took them with me.  I was good have only ate 2 small cookies (about 2 bites each) between yesterday and today.

Going to see our local hockey team Prairie Thunder play tonight.   Before that I think we are going to a small town near hear called Downs to see the Christmas light display.  They have homemade gingerbread cookies there.  I will get some for Morgan but think I will pass on them.

Have already put some clothes away this morning and picked up around the house.  Going to start a scrapbook project  for a Christmas gift and really need to start wraping at some point.  I am on vacation now til the 27th and am very much looking forward to some down time.

Ahh, Saturdays.  I love them.  I slept in this morning and then I started playing with my I Pad and killed time.  Now I have to get serious about laundry.  But for now I am playing on the computer and listening to Christmas songs on my IPad.  

No special plans for the weekend other than to wrap presents and get them mailed so that they can get there by Christmas.  Tomorrow is the Wally World run.

Crystal wow, I love your picture.  You look wonderful.  You look so happy!
As for me, last night I took advantage of some online shopping for my 16yr old.  Everything he wants was from Hot Topic and of course they would be online exclusives!!  Oh kids.  Today, my hubby, DD and I went to Home Depot and bought our tree.  The tree is up and getting himself use to the house and relaxing before we decorate tomorrow.
This evening, is me time.  My DH and DD are off to the Wolves game this evening and my DS is working.  I will take my self to Michael's and game stop for a couple last gifts.  The to World Market for fun stocking stuffers.  Then we will be done with the shopping. 
Tomorrow I need to go to Woodman's in Kenosha as it was there that i saw a large selection of Greek yorgurt.  I am doing well with liquids, getting tired of the creamed soups and puree concoctions, but I am  having a hard time with the protein drinks.  What I have purchased so far tastes horrible and do not agree with me.  I did some research and ened up buying some protein from Unjury.  Hopefully that wil be here soon.
