Hello everyone

Why do I feel so crappy in the morning.  I am glad I decided to not go to work today.  I am just not up to it.  I would have to force myself.  I do have to go out today to do groceries but I can handle that.  I hate being sick.  My voice is still gone.  My throat is getting better till I start coughing then it hurts like crazy.  I seem to be coughing more, I think I have developed bronchitis too.  I am coughing more and I do cough up yellow/green crap.  I don't know if I should go back to the doctor for this.  I am on antibiotics already.  See when I get sick, I really, really get sick.

You know I am kind of disapointed because I have been working out like crazy for more than 2 months now.  I read that working out helps your immune system.  I was thinking that when I got sick that it wouldn't be as bad as it usually is because I am living healthier now...I guess not.  I am bummed.  It hasn't helped my immunity at all.

Well I hope the others that are sick are getting better.  I hope that Debbie is doing ok...I am thinking we will hear from her in another day or two. Dawn, I hope you feel better.

Be careful driving out there.  Stay warm.  See ya later.

Crystal, I was hoping that you turned the corner to wellness yesterday. I find that I feel lousy in the 'morn also because I think (at least for me) that all the congestion sits in the chest during the night and it does not drain out. Give your doc a buzz and tell them how you are feeling as they might have some other prescription they can order or suggestion for you.

'Morning Kids!

We had a great time at the Christkindl Market last night, shared our meal and had a spiced wine and then walked back to the train station to head home.

Some film crew was making a movie inside the Cook County building. It was cool to see all the trucks, wardrobe truck, dressing rooms, equipment etc.

We might see if we can get tickets to a local theater groups performance of It's a Wonderful Life for tonight. I personally do not care for the movie version of this story but am willing to support the local arts.

Hi Crystal. I am so sorry that you are still so sick.

I think you must call your doc and let him know your symptoms. Bronchitis is nothing to sneeze about - you might develop a sinusitis as well. It took me 4 months to get over mine back in 2002. First the bronchitis and complicated by sinusitis. It was a miserable couple of months. Hardly any sleep! My doc didn't know what to do with me. LOL...

Please take care and get as much rest as you can! Don't worry about your workouts. Once you feel a lot better, you'll be able to get up to speed with your exercise.

I've been so busy at work with meetings and unable to stop in to say hello to everyone!

I had my  3 month labs and good thing as I am very low in zinc. It's down to 39. If I waited until 6 months, who knows what it would have been! I am at the very end of the low ok range for magnesium - so I think I need to supplement that as well. Otherwise, it will continue to go down, down!

Otherwise, I am feeling good.

I am able to work on level 5 on the elliptical on days I do my trainer workouts! Woohoo! On my cardio days, I am doing Level 3 for 45 minutes.  I am indeed getting stronger. I can see my body shaping up again.

This weekend is another trip to Indiana. We've got free tickets to a Travis Twitt concert at the Blue Chip. Hopefully, we won't get a snowstorm. If that happens, we are not going.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day and weekend!

Lucy

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois

I am home again today.  The bariatric nurse seemed to think that the more aggressive treatment would begin to get things moving by last evening.  NOTHING!  Well.....not exactly nothing, but just the water that is bypassing the impaction.  I am very trepidacious about the next step.  All online research says that this condition needs to be treated in a hospital setting.  With the weekend coming on I am concerned.  On the one hand, I am having thoughts of being hospitalized or having surgery....and on the other, I am afraid that they are just going to say, "keep trying this and see what happens" and nothing will continue happening. It is not pleasant running to the bathroom every 15 minutes.

The good news is that I am feeling generally better.  No nausea, the pain is minimal and I don't have that overall "crappy" feeling.  (For lack of a better word.....)  I did the dishes and cooked some stuff for the family last night.  I finally got some good sleep this morning from 3:30 - 7:30.

I have called the bariatric team and will wait and see what the next step is.

Crystal, call your doctor and tell him what is going on.  They should at least be aware so they can monitor you.

Karen, CALL YOUR DOCTOR.  Consistent constipation/impaction is not good.  It will cause rectal prolapse which then makes it even harder to void.  I will also send tou a FB messge.

I hope Debbie is doing well and makes it home today.

Nice to see Miss Lucy and good to hear things are going well.

Chris and DAve, the Market sounds great and I will have to make it down there some time.  Enjoy the play.

Gotta go for now!

Everyone have a lovely, warm day.

Dawn, sorry to hear about your health problem.  I surely hope things start to move along.  Going into the weekend is the way health stuff seems to work out....then what do we do/where do we go with everyone closed?  Keep in touch with your Dr. office and see what they think toward the end of the day.  You might ask them the question, if you are not getting any relief..."should I go to the hospital?"  and see what they say.  Sending good thoughts your way.

Good Morning to All,

I really hope you start to mend, at least you have the weekend now to get back into shape.

Karen, I hope you get some relief too. Dawn, you are agressive on your health care, I am sure you will get an answer also.

Lucy, Have fun at the Blue Chip. Just be careful going.

Christine, We have been to the Market. I would love to go down again, but it is so hard for Hubert to get off on days that I am home.

For me today, I have some bookwork to do, then go for the MIR on my arm. We have commpany coming for a late lunch today. I made some BBQ up last night, chips and baked beans. I took Christmas cookies out for  dessert.

Have a great day, Wear your shades, it will be bright.

Huggers,
LISA

Good Morning Crystal and IL,

Hope everyone that is not feeling well feels better soon.  Crystal, I agree with comments to check in with your doc.  Weekends are not good times to need a doctor's care!

Not much planned for this weekend.  Maybe wrap some presents.  Chloe won't be up.  Her mom had the Type A influenza last week and they think she might be getting it.  She's all achy today.

Look out for the weather.  It definitely it going to get VERY COLD!

Roxie (my puppy) HATES snow!  lOL....She almost refuses to go out...but I went out after the snow this AM and at 4:30 was shoveling a path on the deck and a widened area for her to "do her business".  She's still not wild about going out.  I opened the door and she darted back to my bedroom at record speed!

Not much else going on.  Everyone have a nice weekend..and hope everyone is feeling so much better SOON!

We have to shovel a path for David's Maxie too!  She does not like going out, but she has no choice!
