Not sure if I can start this or not, but hey, HAPPY SUNDAY!!
Today I am 3 days out from surgery.  Now I am getting scared.  One piece I do not know, is how long is one in surgery?  I am having RNY and my gall bladder removed.  If anyone knows could you please tell me?!
Hope all have a great day.  Today is typical sunday.  Clean, laundry and get ready for the week.  Enjoy your day!

Goood Morning Debbie,

Yes, anyone can start the roll call. It really depends on who is here first. i  had Lapband, so I can't tell you how long you will be in surgery, but I am sure someone will answer your question.

Sunday morning, laundry is done and put away, dinner is in the crock pot, (Corned beef and Cabbage,) and I am attempting to make a dent in the hobby room/ exercise room/ Christmas room/ guest room. At least I can see the daybed and the floor now. Later today I will need to take the car and get some gas, but that is all the running I need to do today.

Have a great day, and stay safe.

Hugs,
LISA

Hi Debbie,
My RNY lasted about 2 hours and I was in recovery about 1 hour.  I just had my gallbladder removed and that surgery last about 1 hour but I would think it would be quicker if they did them both at the same time.

Best of luck to you, I'll be thinking about you!

Hi Debbie.

I had RNY on 8/16/2010. I was in surgery about 2 1/2 hours laporscopicly. My surgery was on a Monday morning about 7:30 a.m. and I was able to leave the hospital by 3:00 on Tuesday. I had no complications what so every with my surgery, did not run a fever and was able to keep my jello down after the surgery so I was lucky in the fact I did not have to stay for 3 days.

Hope all goes will with you and good luck. You are on the ride of your life! It is all worth it even when you sometimes wonder why you did this to your self (Voluntarily)!

Hello everyone

Ahhh...the end of another weekend...it makes me sooo sad.  At least we are getting closer to Christmas.  Can't wait.  I would like to get some of my cookie dough ready for baking.  I was wondering do you guys make the dough and store and freeze it for later.  How does this work for you guys?  Do the cookies come out just as good as if you made the dough the same day? I am thinking this will be my project next week.

I feel like I'm in the very beginning of a cold.  I woke up with my throat feeling weird...not sore but scratchy and my voice is horse.  Now I am feeling stuffy ,tired and run down.  Maybe, I'm being paranoid but I think I'm developing an ear infection too.  That is one of my specialties, I get ear infections.  My last infections my ear drumb burst and it took 6 weeks for it to clear up.  I hope I can beat this thing.  I can't miss any days at work, I am trying to save up time.  I wonder if I can still work out if I'm sick...hmmmmm

Right now I am being a lazy bum...and just laying around watching TV.

See you guys tomorrow.  Bye

Good Afternoon IL

How r u all doing today?  I am good.  Even though I am kickin myself in butt right now.  I broke a piece on our washer cause it kept locking and it wouldn't let me open the lid even after like 2 or 3 spins so our washer will not work now.  I have to call the company to see if I can get a new plastic piece for it.

Saturday continued  . . . we made it to Cedarburg and had a fab time walking and buying a few ornaments and just enjoying Christmas In The Country Fest that was going on. I bought my sister a yellow dog ornament for her Bday. It looks like a yellow lab or a golden retriever, take your pick.

Last night we went for fondue and enjoyed a protein (broth based - not oil) filled dinner. Today we drove up to Elkhart Lake, WI to a Christkindl Market at the resort and it was great.

I slept on the way home in the car which is highly unusual for me and am still tired. Dave is cooking right now for our family get together tomorrow evening. I am now going to help him with his prep.
