EGD yesterday

Well, I had my EGD done yesterday. I did have a stricture thatthe doctor opened with the balloon. I have to follow up in 3 weeks with him and he said I might need to have 2 more EGD's to stretch the opening to where it is suppose to be. He said if I would have waited a few days longer, I would not have been able to get liquid through. Thank God I went when I did. I ate today with no issues at all. I also have to take Prevacid daily and another liquid medicine 4 times a day because I am developing a small ulcer.

Didnt have any problems eating today. Just stopped when I got full. No pain, no vomitting. I knew something wasnt right. But I was so persistent with the doctors that they finally listened to me. Never second guess yourself. Its your body and you know better than anyone if something is not right. Eating is not suppose to hurt and its sure not suppose to cause vomitting everyday all day long. Thansk to everyone, once again, for your advice!!!

I am so glad that you persisted. It is true, you know your own body. Now, you should have smooth sailing.

Thanks for letting us know and I am very glad that you are now on your way to recovery.  Sticture is not fun, but it IS a possibility.  You are right to persist.....you KNOW your body.

Hopefully, it will be better from here on out.
