Friday Roll Call

Good Morning Everyone,

Now that it is the day after Thanksgiving, we can all eat like we are suppose to. i did have a small slice of pumpkin cheesecake yesterday, and my band rebelled (like it should). All in in it was a good day.

Last evening my DGD and I make chocolate covered pretzels, and today we have a few errands to do and then bake cookies. I have the dough made already, so it won't be a big mess.

How did everyone do yesterday? Are you hitting the stores later, or have been there already?

Good morning al,
Today was my pre surgery apt. I learned I have lost 32lbs from my peak weight. Also, today my blood pressure was in the normal range. I am taking medication, but I did not fear talking to the dr after the weigh in and bp check.
I had an ekg, nasal swab and blood work. My ekg was in the normal range and will learn about the results early next week.
While there, the dr thought it would be a good idea to also have the flu shot, tetnus shot and the whooping cough vaccine. I should be good to go.

Our time is winding down here in the Dells. Today we had to take our rental car in and exchange it as we kept hearing a nasty rubbing sound from the left wheel brake. There is an Avis dealer up at Kalahari so that was a good thing - we think it was a brake pad hanging up. We drove to the resale shop and bought Dave 2 flannel shirts and a basket I can use for small objects in the dishwasher and a small Tupperware covered bowel I can use for my lunches at work. I always look for classic books at the shop but could not find any that I wanted. I think some of the shops have gotten wise to the shoppers.

Now I am onto surfing on the internet for a recipe for cheeseburger soup (CBS). We go to a restaurant up here that serves the most fantastic CBS and I want to know how to make it.

 Hello Everyone!

I had a great day yesterday!  Seeing the kids was awesome!  The girls are growing up fast!  They seem to be content which is good.  My nephew Enzo is almost 6 month old and is cute as a doll.  He is a doll.  Such a happy baby right on the verge of crawling.  We give him a week and he will have it.  He is almost there!  It was good to see my sisters again as well.  Of course the food was great and I was more stuffed than the turkey!    but I console myself with the fact that I only had 1 meal yesterday.  I did not eat breakfast and was too full to eat dinner.  

Today I did my black Friday shopping on line.  I read the ads and then went to the store websites and bought those items!  No lines, no wait.  Ideal!!!   I think that was the first year you could do this!  Some items I bought after midnight and others this afternoon.  

I am just having a laid back day.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!
