Turkey Day Roll Call
Happy Thanksgiving Day,
My wish for everyone is to enjoy your day, and your families, weather its your real family or your family of friends. Whatever your plans are, please be careful.
We are spending the day with Monica V and our younger daughter Annette. I look for forward to the family get togethers, we don't do them ofter enough. We will also be sharing the day with Monicas inlaws.

Happy Gobble, Gobble Day to everyone.
I finished all my shopping for my family yesterday and now the tedious part starts of wrapping it all. I like to get a lot of little things for the kids because it is fun to see their eyes when they open every ting up. I did remember early this morning that I need to kid gifts to give to a local hospital on Christmas Day. That will be easy because I already know what to get. It is just a matter of driving to the store and grabbing them off of the shelf.
We go to Kalahari for Turkey Day dinner and then this evening we will just relax in the room. I have a couple of books with and also some crocheting. I have been making a shawl to go on the outside of my coats because my shoulders get so cold and I am also making a scarf with some yarn I found in the house.
We still have time up here and will see some of my family on Saturday to sit and have some great conversation and visit with their kids. These are my great nieces and nephews that live 5 doors from us at home; their kids are so much fun.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I am so thankful for the support I get here. It's nice being apart of a community that understands the ups and downs of WLS. I am thankful for my health and happiness, my family and friends. I am thankful that I have a great group of friends that got my butt going to the gym. I am thankful for my life!!!
I just had some eggs for breakfast and I'm relaxing before I start baking. Yes that's right I am baking. I always make pound cake for Thanksgiving and it's always a big hit. Then I will take a shower and get ready to go over to my daughter's aunt's house. I love seeing everyone and catching up with all the news. The big topic today will be Amanda's wedding plans. Everyone is very curious about what's going on.
Yesterday I worked late and worked out. Then I went and did some grocery shopping. I went to two stores. I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and Hallmark to buy my grab bag gift for work. I love that stuff. I didn't get home till 8:30...I was a little tired.
Tomorrow I have no big plans. Like Christine I have to start getting my gifts wrapped. I like going to Party City because they have really nice gift boxes and bags. Then I have to pick up my wreath and I have to get these little 3M hooks for my windows so I can finish putting up the lights. That is it. The only thing I have left to buy for Christmas is candy and I always wait to buy that till the last minute.

Typically I have enjoyed baking up a storm for todays feast, but with being on this pre-op cooking is not as much fun. Go figure!! My family is still hoping for the goodies (kids mostly), I did make a few treats. However, it is just not the same. I understand, it is just food. Food is what made me the shape I am today. Food has stopped being a friend and provider but rather an enemy. Food is still haunting me. I am sure it is due to the restrictions, and psychologically I am feeling deprived. It is not that I am hungry it is just I miss it. Man I am rambling. Here I am suppose to post only happy and thankful thoughts. I am sorry.
I hope all have a great day. I am 13 days and couting till surgery!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all. We have so much to be thankful for. Health is number one!
I finished the 5 K walk in Long Grove - Turkey Trot. Boy, it was so cold even with my exercise clothes, long t-shirt and winter jacket. That wind was blowing through me. I think I finished in 45 minutes. I have to wait for the official verdict!
I am going to my sister's house for Thanksgiving. We have a small family - Mom, brother, sister and brother-in-law.
I made a low carb cheesecake that is DS friendly. No crust. Just eggs, cream cheese, heavy whip cream, vanilla and splenda. I'll let you know how it tastes. I made it this morning before the 5K walk.
