Dave Update
Here is an update on Dave. Instead of putting it in the daily roll call where some might not read it I started a post.
He is scheduled for his surgery on Friday, January 28th. The doctor hopes to do it minimally invasive which means that he will not go through the muscle and the incisision will be about 4-6". It all depends on if he can get past the bone spurs on the back of the knee easily. On a younger person the spurs are harder than on a much older person who has more brittle bones.
So in the meantime we have stocked up on Tylenol (he is on Coumadin and cannot take much else) for discomfort and he is looking forward to Jan 28th even though he knows it comes with pain and he knows the rehab will be tough. Dave has been doing a lot of networking with people that have gone through it (and from those here) and everyone has been so glad that they did.
