Yesterday
My day started nice enough. 4:30 am wake up 5:30 weighed 296 by Wii Fit then out for coffee with people. Drove to a meat market I had seen that sold me a frozen ten pound brisket for 2.99 a pound which is very low for this area and also bought a fresh piece of chicaharonnes. Next stopped at Dominics which is a Safeway or Randalls brother type of store to get a special sauce to marinade the brisket and a new bulb thingy to baste it while cooking. Standing in line the guy in front of me goes looney tunes and among other things decides to rub my head twice and then ask me if I am psychiatrist. Wasting time with calling the cops because the check out and service people say they want this guy out of their store and the cop shows up and they are all corporate want let them do anything and there surveillance equipment is broken. The cop finds the guy and at a local extended stay and he admits to what he did and agrees it was wrong, promises not to do it anymore and to be nice to the ladies at the store. So the cops here do not have mental health warrant capabilities so I have to decide either to have him arrested or believe this will make a difference. The cop seems to think he is going to fly right so I let it go and hope I am right. Finish my next stop and get home but with not enough time to make gumbo tonight. I guess I will do that manana. gtg The rest of day is booked.
Gumbo is simmering in the pot this morning. I need to get that brisket in the sink or it will not be thawed until TG.

I am a true believer (in many more ways than one) of going with what you feel is correct. I call it listening to the Holy Spirit. If you truly feel comfortable with your decision then that is the right one. Yes, we have a funky system here in IL in that the victim has to sign the complaints then it is incumbent on them to show up and court to testify. If the victim does not show up in court later down the road because they decided they did not want to go through with it then the case is dismissed. A lot of these cases clog the court system.
Your brisket sounds wonderful. We still want to go to the rest. that I mentioned to your on FB but it will have to wait until after we get back from the Dells.
