Happy Wednesday all!

Fast fly by as I have an "S" load of work on my desk that needs to be done before I leave at 3 today.

I will know a little more after 9 what the possible date will be for Dave's surgery. The doctor thinks that he can do it minimally invasive IF the bone spurs do not cause an issue.

What is happening in your corner of IL?

Hello everyone

I was so tired yesterday I was in bed by 8:30.  I don't do that very often.

As I was walking into work today, a lady right in front of me was talking on her phone about the pros and cons of LapBand.  She sounded like she wasn't sure if she wanted to get the surgery.  I really wanted to say something to her but I don't know her.  It would be weird for some stranger to but in on someone's personal call.  I heard her trying to talk herself into the surgery.  I could have told her about this website and my own struggles with the Band.  Maybe I will see her sometime when she's not on the phone.  Oh well.

Today after work and working out I have to go to Meijer.  There's a birthday in our department and I have to pick up some goodies.

I ordered some new gym shoes from Penney's last week.  I had them shipped to the store (it's free shipping and they didn't carry my size in the store) Well It's been over a week and I still don't have them....Arrrgggg.  What's taking them so long???

Christine- I will hope that Dave does well at the doctor today.  Sending lots of good vibes.

Have a great day.  See ya later

Good morning all,
Just wanted to stop in and say hi.  Today is 3 weeks till my surgery.  I am lucky to have support not only from home but from work.  I am amazed by how many questions I am asked daily.
Well, have a good one all.  I am off to work.

  Happy Wednesday:

I 'm going to do laundry and clean the house today.  Doctor says I can walk, ride my bike and treadmill but still no weights.  I have aquired some extra energy from loosing the 20 lbs.  This new life is amazing.  Before I couldn't walk far because I would get out of breath.  Looking forward to more weight coming off within the next few months.  Have a great day everyone.  Good Luck to Dave.

Good Wednesday morning everyone

I have been up since 6:30 am.  So far I have done almost 2 load of clothes and the dishes.  I am goin to get my lab work done for my PCP today.  We are goin to see if I have under active thyroids, cause me and my mom thinks that could be part of my weight problem.  Cause I have alot of the symptoms for under active thyroids and it runs in my family too.  Cause my old PCP told me my TLs were fine. But my mom new PCP told her about a yr ago she was a border line diabetic and she had been for a while but her old PCP said she wasn't;so I know that all lab works are not the same.

You might want to ask for an ultrasound of your thyroid.  My doctor ordered one even though my blood work came out fine.  The ultrasound showed nothing for me so I was fine.  But a friend of mine, her's showed a nodule.  So it's always good to get an ultrasound.

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I gues I am confused Chris.  I thought you said Dave was having his procedure the day before you leave for your Dells trip?  Anyway, I hope you get a satifactory answer to the knee surgery question.

I am working today and heard from the insurance co.  They will give me about $ 2,000 for my car.  Whoopee (VERY sarcastically).  I KNEW it would not be much, but that will get me some duct tape and a new hood, maybe.  THEN......when I told him that we would take it, he went out to the Illinois State website and sees that the bank did NOT release the lien 5 years ago when we paid off the car. ARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!  Some days, it feels like it is not worth getting out of bed.

I can't afford another car payment right now, so I am stuck.  The neighbor boy goes to the local community college for auto mechanics, so Todd suggests that we see if they need a "project".  That would be fine and dandy, but I don't know how I am supposed to get by until then.  If the DO need a project, it would not be until next semester, which is after Christmas.  I guess I can take Todd's car and let him drive mine...damage and all and we can hope that the oil or fluids don't disappear in the mean time since we can not open the hood.

Enough about my issues.

I am glad that Marilynn came in for help and support.  Sometimes, asking for help is the hardest part.  Hopefully, we can steer her in the right direction.

Everyone have a splendid day!  The sun will be back soon!

Tell someone that you love them!

Dave is having a colonoscopy and endoscope tomorrow not the knee surgery. The knee will be on the 28th of January.
