Tuesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
We survived another Monday. No alarms today!!!
I heard we may get snow on Wednesday. I don't know how true this is but I'm not happy about this.
Well I have some good news...it's been 6 weeks since I started my workout routine. Now according to Dawn it should be a habit now. I can't really tell if it's a habit. How do you know if it's a habit? Yesterday I upped my time on the treadmill to 50 minutes. I want to work my way up to an hour. I also want to work my way up to jogging, which seem to be more of a challenge for me. That may take awhile for me. I also have added weight to my weights. I now lift 10 more pounds on my upper body and 15 more pounds on my lower body. So I do see some improvement.
I hope everyone has a nice day. See ya later.

Hi Crystal. You sound like you are in the habit! Congrats on your working out consistency and future plans.
I signed up for a 5K walk on Thanksgiving - the Long Grove Turkey Trot. YAY!!! Walking through some beautiful scenery too.
I bought a small Christmas tree at Walmart yesterday and started putting the branches on the tree pole. Tomorrow I will put on the lights, then the garland and then ornaments. I wanted to do this for my family this year because who knows how long I will have my Mom. If I say next year and then something happens, I will be sorry!
Had a good workout this morning and am energized. Love my DS!!! Ate a stuffed chicken breast with pepperjack cheese and bacon last night with some veggies. Lunch I've got some meatloaf with a salad. Breakfast scrambled eggs, cheese and ham entree from Weigh****chers - I am adding a little more shreded cheddar cheese to it. I found some good protein buys at Walmart yesterday!
Ok time to work.
Dawn, I pray that you are feeling better today! My message to you got lost by OH somehow!!
Hugs,
Lucy

Dear Lucy
I don't know if you remember me....I was on here a couple of years ago...I had the lapband & then had to have it removed. The doctor was telling me about gastric sleeve but my insurance company will not even allow it. I am not a candidate gor gastric bypass because of my colon re-section...I need alot of spport right now can you help me get back on board or post something about me needing support. I go to thereapist but he told me its very important to go back to board for support. I feel ashamed..I have gained all my weight back plus more

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
Sounds like a habit to me!!!!! When it becomes part of your routine life and no longer a HUGE chore (it might always be a chore) and you look forward to it more than you dread it. When you do it almost every day and are increasing bit by bit.......I'd say you are about there. Congratulations!
I am working today and waiting for the insurance adjuster. BUT......shouldn't I get an estimate first, so I know what an independent party says it will cost to repair? When I talked to the insurance company yesterday, they just siad that the adjuster would be here today and tell me what they will pay, then they will write a chek to me and a body shop. If I haven't chosen a body shop, what then. What if it is "totaled" ? Do I have to give them the car and title? I am SO worried that they will total it for a small amount and I will be in a world of hurt. I LOVE my car. It is/was in great shape. We kept up on the maitenance and kept it clean---no rust or damage ****il now). Oh wel.....thanks for letting me vent a bit. What will be, will be.
I bought some lottory tickets on the way home. The Lotto ticket did not win but the two scratch offs each won another free ticket. I have not turned those in yet. I don't really believe in that anyway, I am just thankful to be unhurt.
Everyone have a wonderful day and don't even THINK the "S" word!

Dawn-
I have been in two different car accidents. What I can tell you is that each insurance company does things different.
My first car accident- I was rear ended by someone not paying attention. The other person's insurance company had me go to get an estimate. The repair guy told me it was totaled. I faxed the paper work to the insurance company. The adjuster came out and a few weeks later I got a check. I used the money as a down payment on another car. So I did have to leave my car at the dealership and my title also (the insurance company was coming to pick up the car). But I did have the option of keeping the car if I wanted.
My second car accident- Also not my fault, an old lady t-boned my car. This insurance company had the adjuster come out. I got a check (I already knew what body shop I was going to). I got my car fixed. Then I turned in the paperwork for my car rental ( I had to pay for the rental up front) and I also showed proof of time off at work and I got a seperate check for that. Now depending on how good your insurance is will depend on whether you get a good estimate. Now with my car the adjuster wanted me to get 2 "reconditioned" doors. My body guy said that he could give me one brand new door and fix the other door for the same price as two "reconditioned" doors. I guess reconditioned is another word for used and it isn't good to have used parts. So I took my body guy's advice and got the new door.
Needless to say every company does things a little different. Good luck.

Dawn and Crystal...
Reconditioned is also another few words for CHEAPER for the insurance company! I have read that you should fight if they want you to use reconditioned parts. Don't be afraid to haggle with them, too.
You can go on www.kbb.com (for Kelly Blue Book) and you can put in your car info and get an idea of the value so you are not going in completely without a clue. I think I would prbly put the most value in the Private Party Value. This means if you were to sell it outright yourself, not trade it, how much might you be likely to get. Like I said, at least you will have an idea of value BEFORE the ins people give you a figure. That way if it's too low, you can show them your Kelly blue book price and see why they think it is worth less...and if they offer you more, you can just not show them the Kelly value!
Good lucik. I hope this helps you out some

As others have replied, every insurance company is different. Mine sends out an adjustor who looks at the damage and does an estimate but does not necessarily give you a price. Then I had to take my car to 2 body shops and submit those estimates. The insurance company then paid the money to the body shop of my choice.

Good Evening Everyone!
Is this week over with yet?
It is only Tuesday and I am ready to call it quits for the week. Yesterday my computer was going crazy and by afternoon I was laughing hysterically and expected them to come with that cute little white suite with the huggable arms. Today was no better. The people are grouchy today! I had two people ask to speak with supervisors today because they did not like how I was handling their calls. I NEVER have that happen and both times I was just following the rules on their account that THEIR company sets up and if they dont like them they need to complain to their own company, not us. We cannot not break those rules.
If we do, the company does not have to pay for the order. I could not win.
I left work, got in my car and let out a big scream to relieve stress!
Hopefully it gets better.
One of the things I purchased last week was a pair of the sketchers tennis shoes. If you do not have these, I highly recommend them. I can feel the soreness in my leg muscles. They do put you through a work out of some sort toning muscles. They are also helping my back.
Everyone have a great evening!
