Monday Roll Call

Randy, we so much enjoyed having you with us in the Green Room on Saturday. Maybe sometime in the future the 3 of us can connect again and do it all over again. I will let you know what our schedule will be after the time that Dave has his surgery and has recovered.

I am at work and counting my blessings.  I hit a deer about a mile from my house this morning.  It could be so much worse, so I am thankful that it is not.  The deear ran out in front of mee and rolled over the top of my hood.  Smashed the car pretty good, but it is drivable and the air bags did not deploy.  Had they deployed, I would be in the hospital.  Terribly scary!!!!!  I'm pretty sure that the deer just kept on running.  I don't even think it fell.  Now, I wait for the insurance adjuster to come look at my 2002 car with 223,000 miles on it.  Wonder if it will be worth fixing?

As I said, it could be so much worse, but I feel the need for a valium to calm down.  Oh well.....none available, I will just have to deal.  hehehehe!

Had the bags deployed you would have had to have it towed because it is not safe to drive with them hanging out.

Had the air bags deployed, I would have a cup attached to my face.  I was drinking my protein and taking my vitamins as I do every morning on my drive.  Protein ALL over the dash and on my skirt and tights.........vitamins did not fall off the passanger seat though........

Well thank God you are alright.  My goodness that would be scary. 

Your car is a 2002 with over 200k miles on it...wow you must do a lot of driving.  My last car I had for 8 years and it only had 95k miles and I drive to Champaign a few times a year.  They might total your car.  The last time I had my car totaled by an insurance company they were very generous.  They gave me more than I thought the car was worth.  So this might work out for the best for you. 

Oh yeah....I drive a LOT.  When I got the car, it was 48 miles one way to work.  For the last 5 years, it has been "only" 35 each way, so 70 per day.  That does not include shopping, Chicago, Streetor, Madison and everywhere else.

The adjuster is coming tomorrow, so we will see.......

I am so thankful that you are ok.  You may be stiff as time passes.  That has to be so frightening.  My supervisor hit a deer a couple of weeks ago.  They did not total her car so it is in the repair shop.  

I hope you come out on top over this!  Maybe lemonade will be the results of this gift of lemons.   Positive vibes your way for a great resolution!

Dawn, Those pesky deer are all over, I am glad that the only damage was to your car, and not you. While we were in Alton Wed. evening, one jumped out in front of us, but we missed it.

Crystal, I hope you had some peace today and the alarms didn't keep going all day.

Christine, when do you leave for the dells?

I did get some of the Xmas stuff up from the basement yesterday, and while I was looking for it, I finally found the  fall decorations I couldn't find. They were put in a red plastic tub, with no writing on it to tell what it was. When I put away the "new" fall  stuff, I will be printing up a large label for it.
