Happy Saturday everyone! I wish the weather would just rain and get it out of its system. We so need some moisture.

I have some inside things to do this morning and then we go to the Creek to serve dinner to the stage team. I just have to keep Davey down in his chair so he is not hurting and sore while we are at church.

Tomorrow afternoon we drive down to Moody Bible Institute to hear Handel's Messiah performed by the staff and students of the school. We are going to take our own scores with so we can follow along.

Hello everyone

I am going to do some house work.  Then go run a couple of errands.  After that I have no plans.  I am happy to be doing nothing.

Thursday when I worked out my calf muscles were really sore.  Then I woke up on Friday and I was fine.  Well I worked out Friday and my calf muscles were screaming in pain.  Now I woke up this morning and my calf muscle are fine again!!!  What the heck is going on with my muscles???

Well I am going to get back to eating breakfast and watching Dexter.  Have a good Saturday.

Crystal, here is a good article regarding muscle soreness. http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/guide/sore-muscles-kee p-exercising

It seems that you might be having a little bit of the DOMS like it describes in the article and this time your body recovered pretty fast.

Interesting article.  Sounds like what I am going through.  I have introduced a lot more stretching after my workout.  Not only does it feel good afterward but I know it helps prevent injury.  I'm not going to workout today but I am going to do my stretching routine.  I am so stiff, I have no flexibility.  When I first started stretching I couldn't even come near touching my toes.  When I was younger I used to do the splits...I was very flexible.

Good morning Illinois,
Today is day 6 of pre-op diet and no diet coke.  So a funny discovery.  I would never go to bed prior to 11 or Midnight.  I claimed I was just never tired.  Well, since the I am no longer drinking the many cans of Diet Coke daily, I am sleepy at 9:30.  WOW!  I have been getting 7+ hrs of sleep a night.  Who would have thought.
I did have good news this morning, I stepped on a scale and I was down to 289!  YEAH!!  My weight prior to pre-op was 302 or at least it was the last time I was at the dr's.  With that good news, I will keep moving forward.  This can only get better.
Christine, enjoy the performance of Handel's Messiah.  I love that score.
Everyone else, have a great Saturday
Debbie

to you on the WL pre op. It sounds like the caffeine (if it was not caffeine free) was what has been keeping you awake.

The same thing happened to me when I stopped drinking Diet Coke.  Not only do I sleep more but I have a deeper sleep.  Remember sleep is an important part of weight loss.  I always try to get 6-8 hours of sleep.  I also notice that now that I workout everyday I sleep better.  Funny thing is before all of this I used to blame my mattress for not getting a good night's sleep...hahaha

Congrats on the weight loss!!!

That is great that you have a few more items crossed off the list for your shopping. I have a few things that need to be bought and am still waiting for the go ahead on a couple others from the parents and grandma that I have picked out.

Hi E veryone:

I have been very busy and I missed the morning chit chat but at least wanted to check in.  I am feeling somewhat normal now.  Next week will be a month already since surgery.  Feeling better now and eating like a bird.  It is hard to post early in the morning because the computer is in my Sons room and he works nights so he's sleeping in the am.  I am going to see my Grandaughter tomorrow; she always puts a big smile on my face.  Hope ya all have a good weekend.
Linda
