Sunday Roll Call
Hello group,
I am loving this chilly weather. Today is day 7 of my pre-op diet. I want to say I am doing well, but I am not. I am hungry! My family has been asking what is for dinner and I am just not motivated to cook for them. Gee, maybe because I can not eat!! I am starving!! I want some real food. I am drinking my protein drinks, drinking m water and eating veggies, BUT today it is just not working. Sorry for complaining but this truely sucks.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Debbie, if you are not on a liquid diet yet, you can eat. Just stay away from sugars, potatoes, pasta, breads and fats. You can have meats, fruits, veggies, rice cakes, sugar free puddings, jellos and other things. You aren't going to able to maintain a diet of protein shakes and veggies.

Lisa,
Thanks for your kind words, but I am on the liquid pre-op diet. Because of my BMI level at last weigh in, the nurses said I needed 4 weeks of fun. However, my BMI is below the level of last weigh in and had I insisted on a new weigh in, I may have only needed the 2 weeks. OH WELL!! This too shall pass.
I ened up going to the grocery store and did not buy anything fun for my family. I told them, if I am not eating it your not eating it. My kids were not to happy. I did stock up on veggies, now to keep my son out of those
. It could be worse.
I did find some Crystal Light Cranberry/Apple mix. I bought it and thank goodness, the water is so much better.
My hubby is going to cook dinner for the family. I am dealing with all of this much better now.

Wow. The holidays are coming so fast. And, my 50th birthday. The RNY was my biggest gift to myself. I'm tyring to gain a longer life!
I'm also trying to get a wardrobe that fits a bit better. No more buying. I was on my own Saturday - no hubby, no kid - so hit all the big lady stores: Fashion Bug, Catherine's & Lane Bryant. Funny they're all owned by the same corporation, right.
Two new bras - gone down a size (buy 1, 1 1/2 off at Lane Bryant). Man, does the "right fit" make a difference. Although, now I've got "back boobs" from the loosening skin back there sticking out above the bra strap. That's OK. I like my front boobs better now.
Got more staples for my new 2X life (down from 3X): two basic V-neck sweaters, two cowl-neck sweaters wtih raglan sleeves (good for batwing cammo), dark grey knit pants, underwear, & a silky jersey party top with beading, plus trouser socks, earrings, necklaces, and fabric flowers. Kind of a splurg, although prices were relatively low. At this point, thrift store doesn't really have my size, but I can't wait to finally hit 14s (my goal), and doing some thrift-scoring!
WARNING: TOO MUCH INFO - NOT FOR CHILDREN OR OTHER SENSITIVE READERS:
Also, I have determined that the constipation is gone, with all the Colace and probiotics I've started popping. But, it's still a pain in the arse (literally) b/c the constipation episode seemed to have ripped me a new one (literally) and now I am coping with 'roids. Oh, god, the agony continues. Thank god for the episiotomy bottle left over from the birth of my child. Ho****er make the process bareable. This is a tip for anyone who needs it. AND NOW, BACK TO OUR USUAL PROGRAMMING.
