Good morning Illinois!
Back from Houston's OH conference. It was so worth it. Great speakers and audience. I bought two books: one from Dr. Stapleton a clinical psychologist who does counseling with WLS patients and one from Chef Dave - a WLS patient. I didn't go to any of the plastic surgeon presentations, because I had enough of that.
Willow a.k.a. Val and I had a great time. The hotel we stayed at was good too. Weather was another story. It was cold there. One morning I did go out to the whirlpool when it was 47 degrees. Yikes! I had a couple of big towels to wrap me up. Brrrrr!! Never thought I would say that in Houston.
We had lunch last Friday with two gals from Houston. Great southwestern hospitality! I met them from the DS Board. Stormy and Jewel.
Today my sister is having surgery at St. Alexius with Dr. Guske. She's having a hiatal and ventral hernia repair. I plan on going to see her.
At least it's going to be a warm day here and sunny. YAY!!!
Lisa, have a good trip to St. Louis.
Hugs,
Lucy

The battle with the leaves continues to almost the end of November because our trees do not drop their leaves very fast. Especially the one on the north side of the driveway - it has leaves the size of a small dinner plate. We have 8 trees in our yard including the ones on the parkway. And lovely - our neighbor to the north only cleans his leaves up a couple times a season. The majority of them blow to everyone elses yards. His kids do not do squat either but go out and play ball in the yard.
Morning everyone. I got a start on the packing last night for next week and will continue this evening. I need to be done soon due to obligations at church over the weekend and yes for those never ending leaves. Both Dave and I have doc appts next week and Dave also has a colonoscopy/endoscope on the day before we leave for the Dells.

Hello everyone
Oh Lisa after a day like yesterday I should take one day at a time. I had one of my good friends and I am also her boss too, come to me with some disturbing/ upsetting information. Her cube mate (whom she worked with for 3 years) made a pass at her. It was shocking to me that he would do this. He just seems like the perfect "family man". He has a wife and 3 kids...what on earth was he thinking??? My friend was so upset she was crying in the bathroom and almost had a panic attack. We went to HR about the whole situation and they are handling it from here. I am kind of hoping that they get rid of him. I feel weird and awkward around him and my friend has to have her desk moved away from his for the time during the investigation. I am also supposed to be impartial because I am their boss but I'm on my friend's side. I just can't help but think of him as a dirt bag. I feel bad for my friend and this guy's family. Ughhhh....
Yesterday I had the opposite problem working out. I was in some pain. I managed to do 30 minutes and had to stop. I don't know if the stress of the day made it worse??
Georgie- congrats on one successful year!!!
Nancy- I am glad nothing is changing at work right now. I don't really like change that much. I am more of a "if it ain't broke don't fix it " kind of person.
Dawn- good job on making little changes. The little changes can make all the difference in the world.
Well I hope everyone gets out and enjoys the day today. See ya later

Good Morning Everyone!
What beautiful weather we are having. Yesterday at work I put in for the day off and at 11:00 I got to come home!
I was glad for the time as I got to straighten out my car insurance. My insurance company has now been paid but I still do not know what happened. I am getting 2 different stories. My bank first told me that my insurance company refused the deposit, then they told me they deposited it in the wrong account because I had the wrong policy number. I have had the same policy for 40 years and have been doing on line banking for 10. Hello???? The insurance company told me the bank never sent it. Well they talked to each other and worked it out but I am clueless.
I did spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning out my car, the windows etc. Now I am ready for winter. Also got my hair done. So I made good use of the day.
Crystal, what an awful situation to be in. I can't believe what a jerk that guy is. Unbelievable. You think you know someone and then .... Lisa, have a great trip to St. Louis. Chris, good luck with those leaves! Lucy, I am glad you had a good trip.
Everyone have a great day!

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I am working (kind of) then going to have lunch with my dayghter and granddaughter. They are home today trying to "clean out" a constipation problem that my granddaughter has been having. They live not far from where I work, so I am going to have a little visit!
Besides that, just trying to get the bathroom done.
Crystal---I completely understand where you are....how awful! Sometimes, I just don't know what people are thinking.
Everyone have a lovely day!
