Very frustrated - UHC - Advice and Thoughts

Hi,

My nurse who is assigned to my with UHC last week said she had everything to submit to the medical director for approval.  OK - how long does that take?  I think sometimes insurance companies love to make you hurry up and wait.  I have submitted everything like a good little girl and now just waiting - I HATE, HATE this!!

Melissa, take a deep breath in, now exhale. UHC is a large insurance company and you are not the nurse's only patient that she is handling the paperwork for AND even if she has already handed it over to the medical director that person more than likely has a large case load also. You can call and kindly ask where you are in the process. But remember honey  attracts more than vinegar does so be super sweet.

I am super sweet with everyone, just very frustrating.  But sometimes the sweaky wheel does work.  I received a call last night from my nurse and she said all is approved.  The office called this morning and advised that I will be in the 11/17 class for instructional information, pre-op testing and that day will receive my surgery date.  Thanks so much.
