I got really ticked yesterday during the news when it said that Quinn still wants to tap into the State Pension Fund. I will be really mad if he puts my pension in jeopardy. I have worked hard for 31+ years and it was not so some Democrat (by the way this word ends in another word - RAT) can have sticky fingers!

Good Morning Christine. I totally understand your fustration with Quinn, or anyone else that wants to put your pension fund at risk. I have a BIL that is getting ready to retire from the state, as well as a good friend who did retire.
My world today is to go to work. Nothing exciting, then a 3 day weekend.
A craft show in Bloomington is on tap for Saturday, as well as a birthday party for Huberts Uncle.

Oh Christine that would burn my butt too. Why is his answer to balancing the budget raising taxes and raiding pension funds??? What about cutting some of the extra fat in the budget??? What about stop giving yourself and your staff big fat raises..in fact they should take pay cuts (lots of people including myself had to take pay cuts...is he above that). Oh I could go on and on but I won't. I will spare everyone.
Well on to happier things. I have some NSVs to share. First, I have been told on three separate occasions that when I was walking down the hallway at work they didn't know who I was till I turned around. Apparently I look much different from behind. Then second, the other day I was running late and hurrying to my desk to punch in. Well I didn't realize till after I did it...instead of wobbling up the stairs like I used to do. I ran up the stairs like a kid!!! I can't tell you the last time I ran up the stairs and not get huffy and puffy. Every little NSV helps.
The other thing I wanted to ask you guys. It's kind of TMI. I noticed in the past month that I have been working out and losing weight on a steady basis. The consistency of my fat is changing (especially around my tummy and thighs). This is going to sound weird but it's getting gooshy. My fat was pretty dense before, more solid. Now it's very smooshy. I explained this to one of my friends and she said maybe my fat is starting to break down. Could that really be what's happening??? Did this happen to any of you?
Well I have a check up with the doctor today. He's checking to see how my medication for migraines is working and he will up the milligrams. I am now taking half of the lowest dose. So I think today he will have me try taking the whole pill. His plan seems to be working. He wanted to introduce it slowly to my system to avoid any bad reaction. It's working!!!

Brady who is running for govenor and Brady who ran for Senate are both local boys. Both are from Bloomington. One even lives in my neighborhoood.
Crystal love your aha moments. I was able to cross my legs the other night at an event and about fell out of my chair when I did that!
Not much more going on. Off to get an oil change then work. The district manager is visiting so that always changes the attitude in the office.

Not much exciting here. Work then home to hopefully get a coat of "Kilz" on the walls. I had to tape the bathroom last night after I got home at 6:30. I don't know WHY I thought I could expect help at home. Silly me.
I may leave early in the afternoon tomorrow to pick out my color and new light fixtures. The old ones are fine, but the shades have both broken and I have searched low and high for replacements to no avail. So...new fixtures and some shelving in addition to new paint and my bathroom will finally reflect my taste. We've only been in the house for 8.5 years...hehehehe! Slow but sure, I guess.

Christine, I agree with you. While my pension is federal, my health insurance is though the state and being forced to retire early that was my one "perk" that made my retirement acceptable. If they take away my healthcare, you will HEAR me from your house! I am so afraid that they will pull that stunt as well!
Quinn scares me. I had hoped he would get ousted but it looks like that is not going to happen.
I am back from the pain clinic. I had an epidural in my spine. Actually 2 of them because my spinal canal is so narrow he could not go directly into the spine from the center of the back and hope that it would spread so he did one from each side of the lower back. Right now I have significant pain improvement but mostly because a lot of that area is numb thanks to the medication that is injected with the steroids. Time will tell. Today he was talking more about surgery. Last time he was more positive about the steroid injections. I am not very enthusiastic about surgery as surgery only has a success rate of about 60% in spinal stenosis. UGH.!

Monica I wish those Brady "boys" could garner enough strength to over come Chicago! Dawn, I am sorry you did not get any help. But look at it this way, if they did not help, they have no say in what goes in to the bathroom or how it looks. Hmmmm pink would be a nice color. 
When they complain, ask where the help was!
