Hello everyone

Ugh...I was so tempted to call in today.  I woke up feeling soooo sore.  I really, really over did it in the gym.  I know exactly what I did wrong.  I tried a new machine...it's the machine where you lay on your stomach and pull the weight up with your legs.  I did 3 sets of 25.  Well I am paying for that now.  I obviously never use those muscles for anything other than sitting,  because I have been so sore.  So today and until the pain goes away I am going to lay off the weights on my lower body.  I will still walk on the treadmill, I will have to take it slowly.  Does anyone have any tips on how to make my thigh muscles feel better?  I have been taking tylenol, but it really doesn't help.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween.  Bye

Morning all!

Crystal, sorry that you are so sore. One thing that I have found is to make sure that you do not baby yourself. Keep up with your training on the schedule that is correct for you but maybe ease off on the reps. If you have the $$ for a personal trainer, say a couple of sessions that might help you to know exactly how many reps/sets for the machines. Or ask one of the staff at the gym for guidelines. That is what they get paid for and also what you are paying a membership for.

At work for me. Not too much in the way of paperwork which is good. Need to do the leaves again when I get home so it continues to look nice.

Good for you for exercising. I didn't get my butt to the gym this weekeend.

Man, I have a candy hangover today! I ate my body weight in Snickers and Reeses this weekend. I enjoyed lots of pizza and chili, too.

I am going to try and eat a bit "cleaner" today so I won't feel so sluggish. I will keep the candy down to a minimum, maybe only 100 mini candy bars today--tee-hee!

Have a good day everyone!

Nicolle

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!

New member of OH.  Went to a seminar at Mercy Hospital in Chicago on October 11th and today I'm going to my first visit to see the surgeon, nutritionist,  psych, ekg and lab work.  They said its a 3-4 hour visit.

Looking forward to getting the Lap-Band.  I've been researching it for 3 years.  (Got pregnant during that time as well.)

Sorry you are so sore Crystal. I agree, lay off for a few days.
Isn't it heat for muscle pain?

Long day at work, goingto relax tonight, so I can jump in bright and early tomorrow.

Hugs,
