Halloween Eve Roll Call

It looks like a beautiful morning out there...the sun is shining...and I don't hear the winds howling....
Not much on the agenda this weekend...taking a drive to Chicago to take the older couple shopping...then who know....
Hope your all having a wonderful fun filled weekend!
Be safe!
Morning all. I have the middle back yard to get the leaves up here in a short while. First need to get the raking done from around the bushes and out of the mulch. But first I am enjoying some oatmeal with dried cranberries to warm me up.
Later on today we serve food to the stage team at Willow then home to enjoy whatever is on the boob tube AKA as cable to avoid the political ads.

Good Morning to All.
I am being lazy abit this morning, but I need to clean up my kitchen and do some other stuff before we head back to Bloomington this afternoon for a birthday party.
No big plans for tomorrow, just hand out trick or treat goodies. We normally only get 30 or so kids, so its no big deal. It does bother me that so many people won't join in and give treats to the kids.
Streator today has trick and treating on Main St. They usually get wall to wall kids for the entire morning.
Haqve a great safe day,
Hugs,
LISA

Happy Hallowe'en to all my IL family-I have been so busy since my last post getting all my ducks in a row w/Eddie and myself. It has been quite a whirliwind. We have been to Madison 3 times for consults and tests, it's as if they think I could drop everything and run up there on a whim. Getting the time off was a hair puller- my ex-Boss was not very supportive and the trip was exhausting for Eddie. That is an enormous place to navigate and he won't use a wheel chair. The final word is any surgery would be a crap shoot- going in w/no clear indication of coming out w/a functioning kidney and the odds of that happening were very slim. He would have to be cancer free for 2 years to have a new kidney transplanted-even w/his sister donating. She was willing to donate right now if needed, but they won't "waste a good organ" in him at this time. They give maybe 18 months on dialysis w/his underlying conditions so that's is out. He doesn't want to be on dialysis any way so we are taking the time he has and seeing where it takes us. We know the cancer will spread to his lungs, and brain. I decided that full time work was too much for me after they carted me out of work feet first again in Sept. w/a small brain bleed. My neurologist said my stress levels were way too high(go figure) and I gave notice and retired yesterday. I will do something part-time for grocery $$$ and stay home w/Eddie and make him comfortable and hopefully have more time to keep in touch. That's the condensed version-huge hugs to all and where is Dr. Rantis's office now-I need to get my band adjusted. If some one could give me his new address and phone # I would appreciate it. Luv ya all-Janet K

BIG hugs.
I am so sorry your former boss was giving you such a hard time.
The only positive thought is that he too will be in such a position one day and fully understand what you were going through and kick himself! I don't understand why or how people can be so completely dense when it comes to situations like this. They need to have some compassion.
I am also very concerned about both you and Eddie. A brain bleed? Oh my! You are so stressed out. Try to take some care of yourself! It wont help Eddie if you go down too. You have to have some "me" time. As I have said before, if I can come relieve you for a day or an afternoon I will be more than happy to. One trick to test your stress levels (as if you dont know how stressed you are) is to get some of the bubbles with the wand and go blow them. You cant blow them when your stress level is too high but it will bring down your stress! It is a proven fact and chances are you will be laughing within 10 minutes.
I must say I understand how Eddie feels. It is hard to accept but after seeing all the damage that chemo did to my dad and radiation damaged my mom, I am not sure why anyone voluntarily goes through that..
It is also frustrating when doctors will not accept a relatives organ donation. We went through that with dad.
