Just going to Peoria this afternoon for Morgans Ortho appt then to a friends to check on her cats while she is on vacation.

Good morning LIsa and the rest of Illinois!

I am working, as usual.  I am also trying to plan a very short get-away for Todd and I on Friday which will be our 18th anniversary.  Thinking of staying overnight in Rockford and going to dinner.  He has stuff to do on Saturday for the Scouts, so I am trying to decide if it is worth it.

Saturday plans to go to the Blue chip casino in Michigan City to see the Legends in Concert with my best friend. Have 2 free dinners and eating at William B Steakhouse. It should be good!

It is still bright and sunny here.  Sorry to hear the weather is nasty.

Good Morning...
How is everyone this morning? Woke up to thunder and lightening and a downpour this morning. It was okay. Rain is much better than snow.
Things have been so crazy lately for me just trying to work 40 hours, be a Mom, grandma and keep up with all my appts every week. WHEW!!
I have 2 appts next week. One of the cardiologist and one for the pulmonary specialist. I have a psych eval on Nov 9. I have a question for anyone who might know. How many of you had to have sleep studies done after your pulmonary visit? How about stress test? I just want all of these test out of my way. And because I live about 30 minutes or more from where all of them are at, Its a real hassle but in the long run it will be WELL WORTH it.
My 2 year old Grandson, Brody is just talking up a storm. He repeats all. Which isn't good. But he's the cutest and he is a Grandma's boy for sure. They live in the apartment above me and every day when I get home, hes at the top of the stairs hollering.."Mamoo" that's what he calls me. I also have a 3 year old Granddaughter that believes she is about 20. Talking to her is like talking to an adult. Oh My. I bet her pre school teacher loves that.
Ok, enough of me rambling.

It is a beautiful day here -- the sun is shining and the temperature is perfect for me.  I'll take it! 

I am enjoying my day off.  I have been glued to the tv watching the rescue of the Chilean miners.  It is truly a miracle.  So heartwarming to see families reunited.  I cant imagine all they have been through.  

Dawn, Happy Anniversary.  Go for the overnight get away.  You deserve it!  Crystal, Amanda's future inlaws will love you!  You are a wonderful person!  Monica g, I hope you enjoy your new job!  Welcome home Christine.  Lisa, have a safe and uncomplicated day.  Monica hope you have a good day.  Lucy, have fun on your night out!  

For me, I am going to do some paper work this afternoon.  I have avoided it long enough.

Thanks for the good wishes, but it looks like it ain't happening this week.

Of the 20 parents in Todd's troop not ONE of them can manage to drive the boys Saturday morning. 
I am kind of tired of always having to sacrifice MY important days for the Scouts.  Our anniversary is always during the "Merit Badge Pow Wow", which is the first 3 Saturdays in October every year, and the wreaths always come in on the weekend of my birthday.

I know I am being a baby, but it ticks me off.  One of the parents wrote back to my request for drivers that although her family had other plans this weekend, she would drive the other two, so I should just celebrate NEXT weekend.  That is probably what will happen, but why do MY important days have to wait?

OK-----enough whining, but I needed to vent somewhere and this is the best place I know of.
