Sunday Roll Call

Good morning/day all. One more day and then I head back. Mary and I just wandered through consignment shops yesterday and then walked along the Ohio river and enjoyed the view. I found 8 Bobbsey Twin books to add to my collection at a used book store. I used to read them when I was a little girl. Afterwards we drove to Evansville so she could go to The Kitchen Collection store at the mall and I got to go to Michael's. We enjoyed Bob's birthday dinner with eating pizza and salad at home and then watched a movie.

I could not sleep in so I am up and about enjoying God's glorious morning. We are an hour ahead of IL. The skies are crystal clear and it is supposed to be 91 today down here.

We are going over to the little town of Santa Claus to a Christmas store and then over to another antique mall area. Just another relaxing day in the country.

Christine you are right. Another glorious day.

We are heading to Utica for the Burgoo festival this morning. We want to get there and home before the crowds get to thick.  I do want to get some laundry folded, before we head out.

I had a great day yesterday, between ball games and shopping.

Good morning everyone.

Yesterday was family visitation day - Mom and Sis.

Today is whatever I want to do.

I just had my first weight loss stall - it was so strange as I went to weigh****chers yesterday and had a 0.4 lb. gain and then this morning a whopping 6 pound loss.   I was getting to think what is wrong with me. I remember hitting a stall with my RNY after 3 weeks out. I guess my body was adjusting or shifting. At least the scale is moving again. I won't change my weight until next weekend when it is official! I haven't been the new weight since December 2007.

This DS rocks. I love what I can eat. I am getting stronger every day. Now to up my exercise a bit. I am 6 weeks out.

I'm going to enjoy this wonderful weather. Have a wonderful day.

Hello everyone

Well I got all of the cleaning and moving done I had planned yesterday but it came at a price...I ended up with a migraine.  I really thought I had dodged the migraine because it didn't start until an hour after I finished cleaning everything.  It was my fault really I pushed too hard and when I didn't get a migraine I got ****y and just over did it.  I even moved the entertainment center my TV was on, out to the garbage can...by myself...what was I thinking???  So after about noon yesterday till about 7pm my day was spent in bed trying to get rid of that stupid migraine.  Oh by the way I don't know if I ever mentioned my migraines are triggered when I over exert myself.

Today is my Amanda's birthday!!!  It's a good luck day for her because the date is 10/10/10.  She will be 23 today!!!

I think today I will be taking it a little easy.  Usually the day after a migraine I have to be careful because it's really easy to get another one.  So I will go to Walgreens and that's it for me.

Christine-  I love Christmas...I would love to go to a town called Santa Clause!!!! How neat is that.  I will have to look it up on the Internet after this.

Lisa-  I have to ask...what the heck is a "BURGOO"???

Crystal, disregard I misread something that you wrote . . . and I was trying to answer . . .

Santa Claus is a little town about 20 miles south of where my sister lives. It is small and cute and also has Holiday World water park. Do not blink or you will miss the whole town. You can send cards and letters to the town and they will postmark it as Santa Claus at the post office.

It is another gorgeous day out!
Spent yesterday in Chicago.
Nothing on the agenda for today......trying to firm up plans to go to WV and spend time with my son and his family. I can't wait to see Ian and Tyler.
I haven't heard anymore info regarding my DIL's 14 year old cousin or the 17 month old.
 
I'm hoping to get a nice long walk in today!

Well, Friday was my one year rny birthday and not real fun as I was up two pounds.  Thank you everyone for the congrats.  Back down those two pounds this morning.  I volunteered on Thursday and Wednesday and not only overdid it on Wednesday but got dehydrated on Thursday.  I have to remember to take a water bottle with me this week. It is weird how I can do all that and still end up with a weight gain even when I stay on my eating plan.  I have been at this long enough to know to just stick with it though and wait for the scale/Wii to admit to what is happening.

35 year anniversary at Willow today.  We will volunteer for about five hours then service at five and if up to it will stay for a Discovery movie called Oceans.

Christine, you sure triggered memories with me by mentioning books of the Bobbsey Twins.  I too read those as a little girl!  I loved them!  

Crystal, Burgoo if a fall festival held in Utica IL (by Starved Rock State Park) the second Sunday of October.  It is a massive street craft fair, and they cook a burgoo stew over logs in old fashioned kettles.  The little village grows by about 20,000 for the day.  There are bands, entertainment and all kinds of things to see and do.  It has been going on for years and is very popular. http://www.lasallecountymuseum.org/

I'm not quite sure what I am doing today.  I was planning to go to Burgoo until my legs started giving out on me.  Now I dont think that is the best idea.

Nancy, I hit pay dirt in a couple of places with the books as I came away with 8 books that I did not have.
