What should I do now?
Well I just went to my seminar yesterday. (it was very enlightening) I called and got my first appointment for the weightloss doctor. (not until november 18:( bummer) My question is this I already had a sleep study done was fitted for c-pap I have signifigant apnea. Had a pulmonary test done, seen a psychologist, done my blood work. Now what else should I have done anymore tests? I feel better asking you people then calling the dr's office they don't know me yet Oh and i'm on a meal replacement high protien diet.
Hello there
Welcome. When I was going through my pre-surgery tests I had everything you talked about plus I had to see a cardiologist. The cardiologist had me do a nuclear stress test. But your doctor will let you know everythin he requires and the insurance company will tell you any requirements they have. Goodluck with everything.
On another note since you found us on the Illinois board you should stop by daily and check in on the daily roll call. See ya later

Hi Kim and welcome to the IL board. I would ask your doctor's office what tests are going to need to be done and also you should get in contact with your insurance company to the requirements to be approved for surgery. The best bet is to get the requirements in writing from them.
As far as the tests that need to be done and what diet to be on each doctor has their own protocals for his or her patients. Some tests need to be current (W/I last few months) and there might be other tests that need to be done in addition to those that you have had already. For instance I had to have a full female physical including mammo and because I had gastro problems I had to have written okay from my gastro doctor.
Like Crystal mentioned - come on into the daily roll call and join the conversation. We are there to help each other. There are pre ops and POs of many different types of surgeries.
