Wednesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Well I have gotten through half of the week. I feel like my old self again. Although, I am still feeling some extra restiction...which is a good thing. I won't have to pay $50 for a fill. I'm at work of course and if I could clone myself I would. I have so much to do. I have a couple of people doing new things so there's some training going on and I grabbed some of their work because they 're behind and I can get it done really quick (well when you have been doing it for 8 years of course your quicker). Can I get everything done in time for Friday??? Stay tuned...
I didn't sleep very good last night. Probably because I saw a perfect job opening for me, right in Oswego. So I kept thinking about that. How nice that would be to work and live in the same city, no more commutes!!!
I better get back to work. I hope you enjoy your day.

Good Morning all!
First off, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you with that job in Oswego! That would be great.
Not much ging on here today. I have a friend coming over to rehearse some music today. We normally meet on Monday's, but this week he was tied up. It is fun to be doing music a little bit. This is an old college buddy who I wanted to play music with 25 years ago, but it never happened. Then, about 4 months ago, he asked me if he could play with me! We started rehearsing and played at a folk festival last month. It went over well and we are working toward putting a whole evening of music together. Who says you can't go back???
My weight loss class went well last night, but we lost two members. A husband and wife that ended up having a time conflict. Not a big deal, but I was looking forward to working with them.
Try to stay dry today and enjoy!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today, as usual. Tomorrow is half a day and I am taking Friday off, so Yee Haw!!!!!
Crystal---sending good mojo and thoughts for the job in Oswego.
Paul--so glad to hear that your music is happening again. Liv and I love the CD we have and think you are very talented. I saw the video on Facebook and it looked great.
Chris--have a great day!
Just looking to get through the day today, then taking my grandson to the museum for his volunteer training. He turned 12 on the 12th, so he is now old enough to volunteer with Liv and David (and lots of others.....)
After I get home, I have another recipe to try involving butternut squash. The dish is served with brown rice and boy, do we have LOTS of brown rice! For dinner last night, I called ahead and asked David to start the rice and when I got home, he had cooked the WHOLE BAG!!!!!! Over 20 servings! I am sure hoping that it freezes well, or we will be having brown rice with everything for the next week or so! lol! ;-)
Everyone have a splendid day!

Good morning Crystal and IL friends.
Crystal - did you apply for that job? If you did, hope it comes through for you.
Today, I had my ortho doc appointment. He was pleased with my progress with no knee pain. Don't have to see him for 6 months.
Went to the hospital today to drop off my return note and get my TB testing. So I am ready to go back to work tomorrow.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my surgeon in town. Hoping it's my last day with the J tube.
Got some cleaning to do but will try and rest up for tomorrow's demands.
Have a great day. The sun is coming out. YAY!!

Hello my friends! Well, I didn't go back to bed when Maddie went to school and I got a lot accomplished! I made bread for the first time (that wasn't in a bread maker) and cleaned bathrooms and did laundry and a whole bumch of other little things I've been needing to do. The St.Charles auction was good, but I'm glad to be home. Tonight I have to drop Maddie off at CCD and then I'm going to the librabry to look for a book that Chris suggested. Then we are off to TKD. Maddie has a tournament on Sunday in Verona, WI that we are going to, so tonights class is going to be long and intense! I'm super proud of that little girl!
Did anyone watch last nights Biggest Loser? OMG!!! I cried so hard! I have 7 pounds to make my personal goal of 135. Yeah, the doctor would like me to be 120, but I'll take 135! I'm so motivated and for the first time I feel like my head is in the right place!
Take care and I hope you all have a wonderful day:)

Howdy! Glad to be online early tonight. Came home from work early to help hubby bring all our basement furniture back into the basement (it was being stored since Sunday in a neighbor's garage), now that the basement has been detoxed from the sewer back-up flood in June. Now, I'm heading out to my final physical therapy appointment for my artheritic hips. PT worked for me! :)
Well, I now have four more days until my surgery on Monday. Wooo baby! The thoughts going through my head. Trying to get a grip/fix on this major change in anatomy.
Hope your "hump day" this week was a good one...
Peace out.

Evening Everyone!
Crystal, I've got my fingers crossed for a good outcome on a job in Oswego. That would be ideal!
This has been a hectic day for me. We were busy at work today. Tomorrow is the full moon so everyone is really squirley. On top of that I have had a migraine all day. This one is related to the herniated discs in my neck and I am about ready to say "uncle" and have them fixed. I have had them for a year. Last night I spent the entire evening with my arms numb. I just hate the idea of 3 months out of commission and in a neck brace to boot. Plus the surgery is in the area that controls all of your movement and one slip and you can be paralyzed. Um....... maybe no surgery.
Just call me chicken.
Lucy, positive thoughts for the removal of that darned J tube! Glad your ortho visit went well.
Dawn, I think you could freeze rice without a problem. I can't imagine a whole bag cooked.
Everyone have a great evening!

Hello all in Illinois land,
I hope all had a great Wednesday. Today I had to change my surgery date from 12/15/10 to 12/8/10. My hubby reminded me he has to spend the 14th and 15th in Schamburg and wasn't sure how to get me to Highland Park hospital on the 15th. So...., I called my dr's office and they gladly changed the date. I confirmed I would have the sick time for the leave with my benefits office so all is good with work. I will be taking the 8th - 22nd off at work, then it is break, and I will go back on Jan 5th. I am sure my co-workers will be in for a surprise when I walk in.
I have begun telling people at work that I am having RNY and all of the reactions have been positive. Some of course are asking me "what are you going to do about all the holiday meals?" My family and I will have turkey day early and I will freeze meals for the family. For christmas, who knows yet. All I know is I am sooo excited to begin my new life.
I do have a couple of quesions, did anyone have surgery at Highland Park hospital and how were they? And, if my surgery is on the 8th, do you think I will be able to travel on the 16th? My daughter has a field trip to see Wicked and I so want to go.
Sorry for the rambling. Have a great night
Debbie
