Scheduled!!

I am sorry I have been absent for so long but oh how life gets busy. 
Yesterday I had the gall bladder ultra sound and my EDG.  My doctor was very fast giving me the results and as of 3:30pm I am scheduled for my surgery on 12/15/10!!  YEAH!!  My life will be mine again!!!  hmI am so looking forward to not being in pain, short of breath or just plain tired!  I want to run and ride, I want to go shopping and weat something with a shape!!  I miss pretty shoes and feeling good about myself!  Is this wrong?  I sure hope not.
I am having the surgery at Highland Park hospital and my surgeon is Dr. Woody Denhim(sp?).  I will be having my gall bladder removed at the same time, as I guess I have gall stones.  News to me as I have been having any complications. 
I have to say thanks for all of you.  I have been reading all the posts and getting such encouragement.

Congrats Debbie, Are you wrong to have the feelings and desires that you are looking forward to? NO This is one of the reasons you want and need the surgergy. If you didn't care about yourself, you wouldn't be doing this. Anyway, the time will be going fast, and before you know it, the time will be upon you, and a better holiday present to yourself couldn't be found.

Congrats!  I agree with Lisa and Dawn.  Not wrong to want better for yourself/and your health.  I whole-heartedly agree with Dawn...I didn't know how badly I felt until I began to feel so much better.  Good luck!
