Good Afternoon.

Today marked the last day of being at work at 7 am. Thats good for me. Now, when I work out of town, I don't have to leave until 7:15.

Has anyone heard from Crystal yet? I to heard from her last night, but nothing today.

BTW, I finally dropped aother 5 lbs. It has been a longish time since I dropped anything.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

huggers,
 LISA

 Good afternoon/evening Everyone!

Well another day down, hump day is over and only 2 days left to work this week!    Today wasn't too bad of a day except for a couple of people calling and expecting me to be a miracle worker.  One call I had was from a guy who said I am looking for a product called a Sanford and he named a style.  When I asked what it was, he replied, I don't know.  I just have a picture of it and I think it may be a pen.  Um and where would you like me to start looking?  I did find the product on Google and was able to get him the information but honestly, what do these people think we can do?  They must think we can juggle blindfolded with one hand tied behind our back.

The day was a pretty day and I enjoyed escaping to the patio for lunch and sitting out when I got home from work.  No exciting plans for me.

My thoughts are with Crystal.  If you are reading this, we are thinking of you!

I experienced miracle workers when I was in police dispatch also. I so do not miss that time of my career but I do miss the people interaction that was postitive and when I could really help.

RNY on 09/27/10 with

Thanks for the words of encouragement and moderation about the lab tests yesterday. I'm hoping, hoping, hoping the results won't mean a delay for surgery (9/27). I had already delayed since June (just a timing issue with work).

I'm really getting ready. I'm going on my 10-day pre-op diet on Friday morning. It's made up of protein shakes, 2 frozen meals, and 1 c of veggies + 64 oz of water a day. That's it. I've promised myself to follow it and not mess around. But...dang:

TONIGHT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN THE GROCERY STORE THAT I'VE SHOPPED FOR ONLY LOW-CARB/HIGH-PROTEIN FROZEN DINNERS AND FRESH/FROZEN VEGETABLES. Nothing else. NOTHING ELSE. Did I mention the only things in my cart were frozen dinners and veggies?

Dang. It was sooooo weird not to buy all the stuff I used to get in the store --- the starches, fruits, sweets, dairy, etc.

This is truly a new day, isn't it?!?!

I wonder what it'll feel like to be at two parties (with food & drink) this weekend while I'm following this new diet.

Great strides forward with new healthy lifestyle habits. Keep up the great attitude regarding your pre op diet and you will do wonderfully. Keep in mind to just shop the perimeter of the grocery stores because that is where the healthy foods are at - fruits/veggies, meats/fish/poultry, dairy, eggs. When you are ready to progress to other foods PO you will be given direction from your doctor's office as to what to have and not have from the middle section of the store. Remember that you cannot change bad habits overnight that you have been doing for years and years. I kept reminding myself that I had close to 30+ years of bad eating habits to change AND negative thoughts and records in my head. Fortunately for me my husband had RNY also so we do it all together.

As to the parties this weekend, just keep your eye on the prize/light at the end of the tunnel of surgery real soon and you will get through it. You can get through it. Try eating before you go so you are not tempted to eat the junk. IF you do cave and have something you are not supposed to just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and learn from the reason why you did it. More then likely it will be mindless eating.
