Put your sunglasses on Illinois!

Looks like today is going to be warm and dry...might as well take advantage of it! I don't have any plans today but will figure something out even though I'm still sore from the bootcamp class I tried. It wasn't too bad as far as it was exercises I've done before but I pulled something in my shoulder. No Bob Harper DVD today.

Hope you all have a GREAT day! Enjoy!

Good Morning Carol and Everyone Else.

It looks like it is going to be a great day. I think after I finish a few things in here, I will plan on going outside and spending some serious time in the sun.

We had a great time in Madison yesterday. I think I bought, no I know I bought a lot of stuff, including raspberries and red carrots.

We also stopped at Dawns tie-dye party. It was nice seeing her and Janet H.

Otherwise, this will be a normal Sunday. I will get stuff ready for the work week later today. I will be working 5 days a wee****il the first full week of October.

Stay safe and hydrated,
Huggers,
LISA

Good Morning.

Gonna enjoy the weather today. Went to Madison yesterday to the farmers market and I am totally wore out. Not going to do much today but go to the grocery store and sit outside while watching my husband do yard work.

 Good Morning Everyone!

I can't believe the wonderful spell of weather we are having!  I will take it!  I am enjoying every minute of it.

Today, I have laundry and shopping.  Yesterday I spent organizing and tossing things around the house.  It all started with a neighbor asking for a phone number and I couldn't find it.  Now I feel more organized.  The number was where I thought it was but there were so many papers I just could not find it.

Everyone take advantage of this wonderful weather.  Lisa, I have never heard of red carrots.  Sound pretty.  Do they taste the same?

The carrots taste the same, and I sliced them to put  in beef stew, they were deep orange on the inside

Dave and I just got back in the door about 15 minutes ago. We left the house at 5 am to go to the Sandwich Fair. First we went to Mass, breakfast at the Methodist church food building and then we went to the Ecumenical worship service. Afterwards it was walking, walking, walking and of course we shared a combo meal at Fay's Pork Chop BBQ. It was chilly willy before Mr Sun came up. We enjoy going every year to the fair. On the way home we stopped in Hinckley at the local ma 'n pa grocery for S & W popcorn. We can only get it at certain places and most of them are far from us in farm country so we get a bag to last us through the year. We also stopped in St Charles at Blue Goose, their local grocery store - just because we love that store and we got some fantastic tomatoes for BLT's tonight. Our toms are trailing off right now and most are in various stages of green to red.

Now I am off to cutting the toms for the sammies tonight and Dave is watching the Packers/Eagles game right now.

RNY on 09/27/10 with
Hiya - Holy smokes. It's sinking in that I have only two weeks more before I go in for my RNY. And, in terms of prep, this weekend was a waste. It was great b/c my daughter was home for the first time for a weekend visit from boarding school and we took her back this morning. I'm ticked at myself b/c my food was out of whack during her visit. I'm glad to be starting a low-carb, low-cal, high-protein eating plan tomorrow. My 10-day pre-op diet starts on Friday. (Holy moley, that's coming soon!)

I still have to finish prepping the kitchen, pantry, bathrooms, bedroom, and clothes (sort the many sizes of wardrobes that are stuffed into the dressing room). I had planned to finish the kitchen/pantry today, but I had to instead teach my huband how to prepare and do exterior house painting. (He has a small window of time in which to complete the exterior housepainting - just window trim and a back stairs). Glad to help him on this, but I really need to be attending to this other stuff. Showed him youtube videos, highlighted paining DIY books sections, toured the basement toolroom to unearth the painting supplies we already own, and took him to Home Depot this weekend. Tomorrow I have to take him to a paint store and walk him through that process of paint & stain selection.

I have a fantasy of helping on the lower windows when I'm back from the hospital, but that's probably insane, eh? I've got three weeks off work, and will go for a 4th if I need it. Would like to be productive at home, but that probably means just drinking water and protein shakes, eh?

Have a great week!
