Wednesday Roll Call
Good morning Lucy and the rest of Illinois!
Glad to hear you are on your way home, Lucy. Take it easy when you get back.
I feel a bit more rested today and that is good. Also, my boss is going to be gone until the 21st, so we get a bit of a break and can really get some work done at our own pace without his interruptions.
I need to go tie dye shopping at lunch. The kids need stuff to dye. I also need to make a Wally-World stop for essentials.
Not to much else at the moment....back to work!
Everyone have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone!
I am fairly new to this site. I hail from Alton (which is close to St Louis), am a 30-year-old single mom of 11-year-old fraternal twin boys and am on disability (for numerous reasons) TMI?
Anyway, I am pre-op and playing the waiting game. My doctor hasn't faxed my health records to the center where I am planning on having my procedure so everything is at a stand-still until that gets done. Grr! I am really impatient I guess.
I have decided on RNY. My mother had it done a couple of years ago and has lost a lot. She and I are now in the same sized clothes which is good for her, since she lost so much, but not good for me, because I never had to struggle with weight (aside from pregnancy****il the past few years.
Can't wait to get to know everyone. Best success to you all.
(Yes, my hair actually looks like that) Ha ha!

Welcome!
It sounds like you are definitely in the right place. Sometimes I threaten to go stand over my doctor while he does the paperwork as he is allergic to paperwork.
It is so frustrating to have everything ready and you just have to wait for the doctors office to fax that information. Sometimes a call to the office manager will get things moving.
11 year old twins = a busy mom! That takes a lot of energy to keep up with them. I bet they give you a run for your money! At least you still have hair to pull out.
Try to join us as often as you can. If you have questions or just want to complain, we love to help and listen!
It is great to meet you!

Welcome to the IL board.
The pre-op phase and geting through the hurdles of approval and testing is nerve racking. But the rewards are so worth the effort.
Keep us posted on your journey.
There are no wrong or stupid questions. Ask away! There are many veteran WLS friends here who can answer your questions.

Revision on 04/19/13
Good Afternoon, Ok, it's technicly still afternoon, even if it is 10 to 6.
Lucy, you should be home in Illinois by now. See, we planned a great day for your plane ride.
Paul, you are really getting it together. If I was closer I would be coming to your class, but almost 3 hours from you, just is a bit to far.
Monica G, good luck tonight with your speech.
Crystal, sometimes we all need a sick day. We have been warned ,no days off until after the holidays. Our place is the same. You have to show up both the day before and the day after to get a paid holiday. Also, if you are lucky enought to get a holiday week off one year, you will not get it the next.
Dawn, I don't see my boss for months at a time. Of course, she is in Whiteside County, and I work in LaSalle.
Hump day is almost over, and only one more day to work this week.
Saturday will be spent at the farmers market in Madison. Our "annual" trip up there.
nothing else on our agenda.
Have a great evening,
LISA
