Wednesday Roll Call
A quick flyby for me. It is another beautiful day out there! Lucy, you picked a great day to come home! Have a safe trip!
Well, I hope our computers cooperate at work today. We are getting a new phone system so I think that is what is causing all the issues. Go figure.
Enjoy the beautiful weather and have a great day!
Cat Lady
Survied another day of the game I like to call CAR POOL HELL! Why is it that people think that cutting off kids in the parking lot is a fun thing for them to do?
Anyway, Crystal enjoy your day off! Its beautiful out.
Lucy have a safe trip home.
Monica-good luck with your speech. I remember having to take speech classes. I really enjoyed them alot.
Going to try and clean out the plastic container cabinet today. Why is it that I am the only one in the family that seems to know how to stack things in the cabinets? My husband just puts stuff on the countertop for easy access to it and my daughter puts it away anyway she thinks everything will "Fit".
Went and got a smoothie from Smoothie King this morning. The Gladiator has 45 grams of protein in it. At least today I might get all the protein I need.
Have a great day everyone.
Good Morning All!
Yesterday was a great day for massage at my corporate client. They are even reconsidering having me do a weight loss class! Originally they said no to it because they have a nutritionist available through their cafateria vendor, but appearently her class wasn't very good. So let's keep our fingers crossed.
Later, I took Nic to soccer practice and he and I were kicking the ball before hand. I stoled the ball from him and then tripped over it and went down hard. My ribs are killing me and I think I'm finally too old for all this! Today will be a day of easy movements!
BTW, Liz and I are going to do the weight loss class at our house soon. If anyone wants to be a part of it and lives close enough (Cary, IL) to come over for an hour each week, let me know. I can send you details. We want at least 6 folks to justify the time, and we currently have 3.
Lucy, Illinois just hasn't been the same without you! I'm so glad you are on your way back! And I truely look forward to seeing less and less of you as this new surgery starts to take effect (You know what I'm saying!). Love you!
Have a great day everybody!
Paul
I am feeling so good being home and having my privacy. I had my mom with me 24/7 and it was getting to me.
I am happy to say that there is less of me already! 10 pounds in two weeks is great. I heard revisions lose slower. I will do my part though and once I can exercise again, the weight loss will too. I've got the diamond WLS and should have had the DS in the first place. It's an entirely new ballgame for me so I have lots to learn. Vitamins are going to be a challenge for me. But, the benefits are so worth it.
I am happy to see that you are so involved in health and fitness; your weight loss classes are a great incentive for you personally as well.
Thanks for the personal message. I appreciate your thoughts.
I'll be seeing you at the next get together.
Lucy
I am so glad you are already having success. You will do great and it will go fast. As far as the vitamins and nutrition side go, I am always willing to help you get/stay in balance, that's my thing! It's actually much easier than most people think once you get in the pattern. But for now, just relax and let your body adjust to it's new make up. I am really enjoying the pursuit of my nutritional career. For so many years, I just used the knowledge for myself and didn't really use it to try and build a career. Most people didn't even reralize that I had a master's degree in nutrition. Now I spend most of my time helping people primarily centered on weight loss (it's a big subject in the world today!), but I still get to help others with problems like IBS and Crone's disease. I even have helped parents to balance the nutritional needs for their children! And the best part is that it is all natural and has long term effects! As you and I know, no weight loss program or operation is worth a dime if we can't make it permanent. That is where the nutritional component comes in. When they removed my lap band, I immediately gained back 30 pounds. I now know that it was due to my body's need for more protein and vitamins. Now, I've started to take off that 30 pounds andf I am no longer hungry or dissatisfied. I don't regret having the lap band, but I wish I had been following my own advice during the time that I went through all that. But that's life!
Glad to have you back and I look forward to seeing you soon!
Paul
I guess I didn't realize that you had such experience in nutrition.
I am going to take it one day at a time. This is a brand new experience for me and I know that I will master it eventually.
This DS is going to rock. I am going to take full advantage of the benefits during my honeymoon phase - although it won't be just the same as being a virgin DS or RNY!
Thanks for sharing. I'll see you soon.
Lucy
Lucy wishing you safe travels. I'm sure you can't wait to be home in your own bed.
Monica G-Good luck with your speech tonight. Your going to do great.
Crystal-enjoy your day off. It's a beautiful day.
Nancy hope your day goes well with the new phone system. ugh
Monica V- It takes time to get all your protein in, it sounds like your doing great. Keep up the great job.
Paul keeping my fingers cross for you. Your business sounds awesome. Wishing you continued success.
Today I'm off to Curves, than to an appointment. I'm hoping I will be able to get a bike ride in, it all depends on how my knee is doing, I have a torn medial meniscus, its really been bothering me. The doctor said that I need to have surgery, I don't want to have surgery yet, I want to get closer to my goal weight. Its just a catch 22.
Wishing everyone a great day. Take time to smell the roses.
I am home! It is so nice to be in my own home and bed. I am so much more relaxed. Being with Mom 24/7 took its toll on me.
I worked out at Curves a while back. Good workout in a short time. I, too have knee problems but not a torn meniscus. Ouchie! I understand about wanting to wait to have surgery. You'lll get there.
Thanks
Lucy
