Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning IL friends!

It's Wednesday - aka hump day.

I'm all packed and ready to go to the airport. Still have to dress though.

It's early here in San Francisco about 2:45 am. I can't sleep; it's probably the excitement of going home.

So today is trip day and get comfortable once I get home.

Good Morning Lucy,

yay, you get to come home today!!  So happy tp hear that you are doing so well.

As for me today, well I have a lot to do.  I have to return a case of computer paper I bought at Sam's because I bought the kind for a dot matrix printer by accident, then I have to go to the Pharmacy to pick up and drop off scripts.  Once home, it's a ton of homework and preparing for a speech I have to give tonight for my speech class.  It's a personl experience speech and I am doing it on my Gastric Bypass experience.  (the good of it! lol), then of course class tonight.

Only 3 more days til these dang teeth are gone!  Yay, I can't wait.  lol

Well I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the cooler weather and sunshine today!

Good luck on your speech.  Try to relax.  Remember they are people just like you so think that you are talking to your friends.  If looking at people bothers you focus on different objects in the room as you talk.  Try to think of the group as a group of prospective weight loss patients.  What would you say to someone who is thinking about having the surgery?  You will do great!

Hello everyone

I am home today.  I decided to take the day off.  I am soooo tired from the weekend, so I decided to call in.  I would have called in yesterday but you can't call in the day before or after a holiday or you don't get paid for the holiday...stupid rule.

My dad is doing good.  He is able to walk around without being out of breath.  They are still trying to find the source of the infection.  They now think the infection is in his heart.  They did an ultrasound of his heart.  The infectious disease doctor said she would hopefully know by today.  The good news is the doctor said the infection seems to be under control...the white blood cell count isn't going up...it's not going down but at least it's not going up.

So now I'm going to relax most of the day.  I am very tired.  

Lisa- yes we need to get together soon.  I haven't forgotten.

Good for you to take the day off!  Enjoy it!  We have the same rule.  I agree.  It is dumb.  I went back one year with the stomach flu because of it.  Really could have used another day close to the bathroom but this was for 2 days off.  

I had a heart virus about 10 years ago.  Not fun but I survived.  They are indeed a mystery.  The doctors had a brilliant idea of trying to culture it to find the source of infection or type but it could not be identified.  I also had fluid on the lungs with it.  Maybe your dad has that as well.  I hope not it really wipes you out.
