Yippee Skippee the three day weekend is here

Now that I got that out of my system, morning and good day all. I am slept out so am up doing nothing but surfn on the 'net. I am going to ride my bike to the resale shop first this morning and then come back and wash the inside windows in the 3 season room. That should go pretty fast because I have a long extending pole that reaches all the windows from the floor. The pole has a microfiber cloth/pad on the end that helps get the job done quickly.

What is happening in your corner of IL? Any other plans for the weekend?

PS I saw the most facinating thing last night - baby squirrels. I heard a racket in the back yard and looked out and two full grown squirrels were chasing each other and then I saw 2 tiny, tiny squirrels about 1/4 the size of mom. About 15 minutes later mom carried them off and up our big tree and jumped with one at a time into the neighbors tree to another nest.

Good Morning Christine,

I see I am not the only one up early this "last" Saturday of summer.

I have some Pumpkin cookies in the oven as I blog. I will clean up the kitchen, and do laundry, then meet Monica and Morgan in Elpaso, at the pork chop sale. Then this evening, we are going to the Roamer Cruise Night. The Roamer was a car built in Streator.

It looks like perfect weather for the weekend. I know, I am going to enjoy it.

Have a great and safe day.

Huggers,
Lisa

Good morning Illinois!

Bought my sewing machine yesterday and started to make a fleece quilt for my granddaughter from a kit. Got one row done and started the second when the machine went crazy....I've got to figure out why the thread is bunching up....quit sewing and put it away because I couldn't fix it right away....another day...

I hope to get outdoors this weekend and do some walking....want to go to the movies...maybe the fall craft fest in Frankfort...visit my daughter and the children sometime this weekend....Ava is going to begin cheerleading and they are selling butterbraid frozen breads....fundraisers start the day you join....she's also selling Tastefully Simple for the school fundraiser...can't wait to hear what Ian will be selling out in WV.

Hope you all have an enjoyable weekend!

When thread bunches up, it is usually a problem in the bobbin area.  Check to make sure there is not thread caught down there and that the bobbin is threaded correctly.  Also, you may have to adjust your bobbin tension.  Your owners manual will explain how to do that.

I am with Nancy regarding the tension and also check to see that you have the correct presser foot and needle. I have found also with my Singer machine that if I do not have the thread on the bobbin correctly then it bunches up also.

Tastefully Simple has some great dip mixes. Bacon, Bacon is great as is Garlic, Garlic, Balsamic & Basil Dipping Oil and Vidalia Onion Dressing. They used to have a cucumber dip but I could not find it on their website.

Lazy Saturday Morning.  Did my grocery shopping online last night and they should show up between noon and two.  Two cookies just about did me in yesterday.  Cheryl brought them home from a party at work and was going to eat them.  Then she found out they were PB so she left them for me.  Of course I have no portion control when it comes to such things so I ate both of them and a glass of milk.  It took me a couple of hours to recover.

Michael W. Smith at Willow tonite and in the morning.

So you have been forgiven?

We are going to brave the crowds for Michael tonight. The place is going to be packed for all the services because WMBI radio has been talking about it.

PS - edited to add - I think that all of us whether shortly out or longer out like Dave and I still do what you did with the cookies and milk.

Happy Saturday to all -

What a lovely day it is so far.  I have a game plan together and will see if I can hire a couple guys to load the pod by Wed.  It appears that Calvin may not get to come back home until he finishes w/ his training  (15th) since he missed 2 1/2 days due to the whole hs diploma saga.  Thank goodness it got resolved yesterday or he may have had to wait until after the long weekend.  Talk about a set back.
So, same ole thing I've been doing.  Nothing exciting here.  I do hope everyone has a fab weekend.  Sound like lots of fun is in store for many of you.
