Tuesday Roll Call
Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!
Not much exciting for me today. Just work, then home. Our lawn needs to be mowed and it is always a challenge. Our "new, free" lawnmower that the neighbor gave us to replace our 20 year old dog has now cost about $ 150.00 in repairs and it STILL does not run. We have to find a neighbor that is home to borrow a mower.
Looking forward to a very busy weekend, capping off with the "Labor Day Yard Tractor Pulls" that occur in our driveway each year. I think this will be the 4th year and it gets bigger each year. We don't even OWN a lawn tractor, but we have a very smooth, even concrete driveway. After watching the pulls, we usually cook out and hang out.

Hello IL -
Calvin is home for the day. Sure does not seem like I get as much done when he is home. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy him being here but man.. two people should be able to get more done then one right??? hmmm. Oh well.
I got some bad news on my pathfinder... gurrrr 2K to get the repairs done it needs. I have to bite the bullet and do it. I refuse to have a car payment.
So, not much else going on, just trying to get things packed and ready for the move. Hope everyone has a lovely day.
Oh yea.. one other thing. Outerbanks Marathon is coming up in November and a few of the people on the NC board are going to walk the 8K (five miles).. Calvin and I have signed up. What better way to meet some new people. Very excited.

Good Afternoon,
My annual training is done, and am ready to greet clients in the morning. NOT! All my sites are stocked and I even answered the phone this afternoon. If our clients knew what we do pre starting our Liheap applications, but then, they wouldn't care as long as we give them their funding. I really have had this job to long, but, it is better then most. I do love my job.
Just going to make dinner and sit back this evening. I need to get on a heating pad for my back. I knew I shouldn't lift the boxes of supplies, but, no one else was around. That and topped off with 8 hours of driving in the last 2 days.
Have a great night.
BTW< anyone looking for something to do Saturday night, Streator is having its annual Cruise Night from 4 to 10. Last year there were over 600 cars on display. I think it is the biggest one in the state.
Huggers,
LISA

Good Evening Everyone!
It has been a running day for me. I started the day sleeping through my alarm clock. Thank goodness for my cat Claude. He came into the bed about 40 minutes before I normally leave for work and meowed at me asking me if I was going to get up. That got me going when I looked at the clock! I must have hit the snooze button multiple times in my sleep!
I am glad I have at least one cat talking to me. Two aren't. They did not like their trip to the vets. I had howling in stereo and just when one would calm down, the other started up and got both going again. Oh my! We do not like vets.
Today we were busy at work and I had lots of calls. Then I got ticked off at one of my coworkers *****fused to take a transfer call saying it was not her place to take that call (it was) She went even further and wrote me up. The funny thing is that in her complaint she even states that I was trying to transfer the call to her and had another department on the line. She was refusing the call saying I had to transfer the call to the printing department. I kept asking her "why would I transfer this call to printing when printing is who is on the line?" DUH! It will backfire on her. Oh well, not my problem. That is what she gets for refusing to take a call and then trying to turn me in for being rude. I admit to being sarcastic for thanking her for her help but I was not rude, just trying to get through her dense skull.
She is just lucky that I did not write her up first. lol.
Now I am home and trying to relax and figure out what to have for dinner. My meat was frozen this a.m. and I did not want to put frozen food in the crockpot so it is plan B for dinner. Problem is, there is no plan B.

It was chicken. That was the only reason I was hesitating. I am not sure what temperature the crockpot low setting is. Also it is a small pot and I could not separate the pieces. I am always extra careful with chicken and want to make sure it is cooked thoroughly and not held too long at lower temperatures. Just the home economist in me. Over cautious.
