Thursday Morning Roll Call
Today I get to go the oral surgeon and while I feel like I could throw up (I am petrified of dentists) I am also glad to finally be going to see what they say about this pain and when we can take care of it! Hopefully he's gonna give me something else for pain because I think I am over doing it with the Advil and I do not need an ulcer!
Other than that, it's a long night of MicroBiology tonight for me. Lecture from 5 to 6:15, and then lab from 6:30 until 9:15. I also have homework for Speech to do as well.
Hoping Lucy is doing okay today after a very long surgery yesterday! Prayers going out for her.
Chris and Dave, have a great time this weekend!!
Have a great day and enjoy the nice weather, it looks like it's gonna get warmer again the next few days.
Shortly we will walk down and hop on the train to the Loop and then we will take a cab over to Navy Pier. We wanted to take a water taxi but after thinking it over the fares would be double of a cab ride ($7 each way per person and the cab is under 7 for both). We just talked about walking 2 blocks away to a fancy dancy grocery store near there called Fox and Obel. It supposedly is where Oprah shops. Anyways, I digress - they have a cafeteria style food area that serves made to order breakfast and we can share what we buy. We have done it in the past. OR we might just eat at Union Sta. because they have a made to order breakfast for under 2 bucks. We will see . . .

Hello eveyone
It's Thursday...thank god only one more day. Today more work and more work...is it Friday yet??? Work is still stressing me out. I did take anoher step toward getting a new job, I sent out two resumes. One is for Office Max (not the one by you Nancy, it's the one in Naperville) and one for CME in Chicago. There's nothing in Ottawa...booo!!!
What a beautiful day it was yesterday. I went for a walk.
Monica- I have the same problem with dentists. I hate them. It is one of the few things I really fear...heights, dark, spiders...nope for me it's dentists. I haven't been to one in 9 years. Hopefully I won't have to for a long time!!!
I'm glad to hear Lucy is doing well.
Gotta go...have a wonderful day.
I am sore this morning...I did Bob Harper(biggest loser trainer) workout dvd and then dug up hosta plants and transplanted them around our complex for the next 3 hours. I got a good workout yesterday. Today is the gym....Bella is getting groomed today so while that is happening I think I will clean the floors ( this way they can stay clean for a few hours) ....she is one hairy little dog.
I hope Lucy is on the road to a quick recovery.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Monica, I am sending out dental healing vibes for you! I'm glad this will finally be coming to an end.
I have an appointment with a park district at 2:30, so wish me luck. Last night I had a private client appointment for massage, but we spent the first hour doing a body composition analysis and meal plan. This morning she has posted on facebook that she has started her meal plan, and lots of her friends are interested. It feels good to see my work go out into the world!
My own eating has been going well, although last night I fineshed my work at 9pm and was famished. I was a good hour away from home, so I stopped at a Subway and got a 6 inch turkey and ham on whole grain bread. It was about as healthy as I could find on the road, but it still felt like I ate a tank! Hopefully, today will be slightly more balanced.
Have a great day!
Paul
Just a fast fly-by, I have been procrastinating this morning, so nothing is done yet. I have some errands to run, and then i want to do some more weeding.
No plans for the weekend, except to get my head back into work mode. Summer went to fast.
Monica G, hope everything goes well with your teeth,
Paul, you are getting people excited. Good for you.
Have a great day Dave and Chris.
Lucy should be recovering nicely. Nicolle, please keep us informed.
Have a safe and hydrated day.

Wishing you luck at the dentist. I don't actually HATE them, but due to no insurance and no budget, I have not been in over 7 years. I now have decay at the gumline on almost all my teeth that has appeared since my RNY. I also have 2-3 broken teeth. I have heard many other complain of dental issues after surgery. I think (maybe) a lot of that has to do with the chewable vitamins. I now I should go, but I am afraid there in nothing they can do to help, short of pulling them all. Since they are not bothering me, I will hope for the best.
I am hoping that things are going well for Lucy. I am pretty sure that recovery will be difficult after such a long surgery.
I am working today and dealing with the "washer drama" at my house. It is always something!
Everyone have a spectacular day!
We had health assessments at work this a.m, which I arranged, so had 24 people participate in blood draws. I'll be interested to see what my numbers are...9 months out!
Monica, good luck at the dentist. They have a lot of options, I'm sure to help people who are afraid...I do believe that is one of those fears so many people mention. I hope he can get the pain under control and not charge you too much!
Thinking good thoughts and sending prayers for Lucy's recovery.
That is one LONG time to be in surgery.
Paul, good luck with your classes. Hopefully your clients will give you good word of mouth PR!
Dave and Chris have fun in Chi town and beyond.
Everyone have a super day. The weather is beautiful! I was actually kinda chilly when I took Roxie out this AM (@ 4:45) and she was wandering around taking her old sweet time!
