Good Morning!

The weekend was just filled with too many bad food choices and I feel like I gained a hundred pounds!  But I'm back to my nutritious shakes and the straight and narrow path again.  I bought a new body composition analyzer for my classes, and I tested myself.  Turns out I am pretty good in muscle mass.  I'm only 18% body fat, which is not bad for me, but I'm aiming for better.  It seems like the last 20 pounds is always harder than the first 20!

Have a great day!

Good Morning Chris and all the sleepy heads out there!

I am going to be shadowing today at the Dreyer Family Practice and for a Rheumetologist today to see which position I want to be considered for.  I'm a little nervous, but know that I'll do fine.  I was in SO much pain yesterday from my teeth, I didn't do anything all day really.  I will be calling the oral surgeon today to see when I can get in for a consult with him.

Other than shadowing and running a few errands afterwards, I will be studying for my certification test and making beef and broccoli stir fry tonight for dinner.   I am also getting back on track today with eating right and taking my vitamins on a regular basis!

hope everyone else has a wonderful day!

Monica

Hello everyone

How was everyone's weekend...mine was too short.  I hate working on Saturday because it makes the weekend seem shorter.

I have so much going on this week.  It's month end plus we have a new girl starting next week and the other girl is training on her new position.  UGH!!!!!

Well I better get going.  Have a great day

Good Morning,

No major plans for today, I do want to get some weed killer on the front yard, to try to get some decent grass to grow.

I also need to go to Walgreens to get some hair color. I think its been about 4 months since the last time. While i am out, I want to stop at my office to make sure everything is set for next week. Monday is back to work week. Vacations don't last long enough.

A pork roast and sweet potatoes are on  the agenda for this evenings dinner. Aload of wash needs to be popped into the dryer, and I want to finish a bedroom I started yesterday.

Have a safe day. It is not to be so hot today. But, stay hydrated.

Huggers,
LISA

Good morning Chris and IL family. Special thanks to our IL friend and my angel, Nicolle for her post here and on the DS Board. I am going to rely on her a lot in the next couple of weeks as I learn how to work and live with my DS. I am so excited as I have a final chance to get this right for me. NO MORE BAND! Thank goodness.

My Mom and I are in San Francisco. The weather is beautiful - sunny and in the mid 60's.

The hotel were are staying at is very nice. It has a pool, whirlpool, fitness center and restaurant. We went to the pool and whirlpool and it was so relaxing. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and had leftovers and put them in the refrigerator.

This morning I have my surgeon's appointment and then off to the hospital for pre-registration, prothrombin time and type and screen. All my other blood work is done.

This time I am in the best shape for surgery. All my labs, EKG and chest xray are normal. I've been exercising regularly too with a trainer.

Sure am getting a little nervous but I will be more nervous come Wednesday morning. Tuesday I have a lot of pre-op meds to take at various times of the day. So I made a list by hours of what I have to take so I can keep myself on track.

We will be visiting the Fisherman's Wharf today and then off to the pool.

It's my last day of regular food for sometime.

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes and prayers.

I will see you all hopefully at the next Illinois get together!

Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning.

Not much on the agenda today. Drove my daughter to school this morning and finally checked my eggs on the recall list. Better late than never.

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I took the kids and grand-kids for a marathon visit to the fair on Friday.  What an adventure!  It started out hotter that He##, then began to sprinkle, then STORMED like CRAZY.  We got SOAKED getting to the car, then sat in there for about a half an hour waiting for it to pass.  It finally did, then back tot he rides they went.  Riley must have ridden the "Tilt-a Whirl" over 25 times!  Devon loved the bumper cars and mu kids did a great job chaperoning them.  We finally got home about 9 pm!

Saturday was the annual "Aplacapalooza" party that we have been attending for the lat 7 years.  It is held at one of our friends' farm, and there are 5 bands and food and fun......

Yesterday, lazy day on the neighbor's deck.

Today, work and home to the ribs I have in the oven.  The kids go back to school on Wednesday, so they are home enjoying their last couple days of freedom.

Well.........David is anyway.  Olivia has had her heart broken by her first official "boyfriend".  This is why I have discouraged her from having a "boyfriend".  It is so hard to see her in so much pain.  The DRAMA!  I hope she gets better soon.  I feel bad for her.  We thought he was a really nice kid too.

That's about it for me.  Glad to see all the old timers coming back to the fold.  FB is fun, but THIS is where we can really discuss things!

Everyone have a spectacular day!

Tell someone that you love them!
