Hello Illinois!

Guess I'll wander back into the fold too!  I read almost everyday, but kinda feel like Deanna, don't know that I have alot exciting going on, so maybe you'll be happy with non-exciting!  LOL

It is nice to see "old" friends on board.  Monica, you sound as busy as always. Glad you finished your classes.  Good luck studying for your test.  Chris, you and Dave always go the neatest places and seem to have lots of fun!  Enjoy.  Lucy, good luck with you surgery.  I'll say a prayer for you for a safe journey, and a very successful surgery.  Crystal, congrats on the 2 lbs.  That is such a good feeling.  Carol, nice to see you here, too.  Deanna, you are doing super with your wt. loss!  Congrats.  I admire your bike riding ambition.  Do you have a special bike, as far as gears, etc?  Lisa and Paul, I love Kohl's too and have one just down the road from me,near our WalMart superstore.  I need to start shopping for fall clothes.  I'm really glad to say, I have NONE that fit!  LOL.  I wore a pair of pants I bought at the beginning of summer this week, and they were too baggy.  I have a wedding in mid Sept and I have to find something dressier to wear to that.  I literally have only casual work clothes and play clothes!  But it's a problem I am pretty happy about.

I took my Roxie (I am now calling her a puppy in a dog's body because she has grown so much) to get spayed and micro chipped today.  She was VERY upset I was not giving her any breakfast and kept wandering over where her food ususally is and would look at me and bark, like.."aren't YOU forgetting something here?"  LOL.  I'm sure the surgery will slow her down a little for a day or so!  She stays overnight and I pick her up tomorrow.  The house will be quiet tonight.

WEll, it is nice to "see" everyone.  Facebook can be a time sucker, can't it!   LOL.  Everyone have a SUPER FRiday and a wonderful weekend.  Crystal, you've got me thinking about pina coladas...and that's not good!

Hi Georgie,
good luck to Roxie today, I am sure she'll be fine.  Aren't they funny though when they want something?  My one dog, Phantom will sit in front of the fridge door if you go into the kitchen and not move, even if you want to open the door until you give him an ice cube.  lol  silly dogs

Isn't it a great feeling to put on clothes and have them not fit for the right reasons??  lol  congrats on your weight loss.  I am sure you'll find something awesome for the wedding!

Thanks Monica,

I called and checked @ the Vet and they said Roxie came through with flying colors and was resting.  You're right about them all being so funny.  Roxie loves ice cubes, too.

And yes, having them not fit for all the "right" reasons is a lot of fun.  Think I'll make a Kohl's run or Carsons, maybe theis weekend! Have a good one.

Good afternoon everyone!

Finally, a thunderstorm came through town.  Lots of thunder very little rain. Hopefully later in the day we will get some more.

Big test today, my daughter came home from school and wanted some popcorn.  I just drank somemore of my cream of chicken soup and left the room.  Still sore on the left side and still sleeping in the recliner.  I can get into bed, its the getting out part that is a small problem.  Only had to take 1 nap so far today.  I count that as a plus.  Can not sit to long at the computer yet but it will get better.

Love the sales also!

Have a wonderful day.

hi Monica V, I'm Monica G!  lol

I'm glad that you are doing better.  It's hard to get used to not being able to eat the things we used to, but you can do it.  Don't worry about the bed thing  either, I slept in our recliner for almost 3 months before I could navigate the bed, then again we have a waterbed, so that was a very big challenge and I also had complications too.

You are doing great and I look forward to getting to know you better!

Good Evening Everyone!

I am finally getting on here.  I traded shifts with  a team member today so I got home later than usual.  Then when I got on my computer, it wanted updating and that took forever but it had been running slow so I decided to go ahead and humor it.

Last night, I came home to the most wonderful surprise.  My niece (who owns a designer clothing botique in New Orleans) sent me 3 HUGE boxes of clothes!  I could literally throw out all my clothes and have an entirely new wardrobe.  There is everything from evening dresses to tops, to casual dresses, dressy dresses, slacks and jeans.  I love the jeans.  They are a brand that has a wonderful fit and there are at least 8 pairs in a variety of colors!  Oh my!

I am glad it is Friday.  This weekend I have to figure out where I am going to put all of my new clothes.

It is really great to see everyone!  Welcome back to the "old timers"  I have missed you!  Monica, you may try some clove oil on your tooth.  That is another natural pain remedy.  Dip a toothpick or q tip in the oil and then rub it on your tooth.

Lisa, I hope you are gettting all settled in Naperville.  Moving is such a chore and getting to know new people can be exciting as well as a bit intimidating.  Hope it feels like home soon.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Hey Nancy,
Doesn't matter what time you check in, just glad that you did.  that is so exciting and wonderful of your neice to send you all that clothes...does she want to be my neice too?  I could use some new clothes, but with no job, it's not gonna happen any time soon..LOL

Where do I get clove oil at?  I am willing to try anything to help with the pain, it's more a constant ache lately then all of a sudden it will shoot pain for a little while.  Hoping to get a consultation with the oral surgeon next week to see exactly how much it will cost.  then Mike's mom is willing to help pay for it so I can get it done before starting a job

Monica

You can find clove oil in the drug store at the pharmacy.  I don't know why it is there because it is often used in making candy.    Since you are in a metro area, you may be able to find it in the baking section of your grocery store or in a craft store such as Michaels.

Hang in there on the job front.  The right job will come along when it is the right job.  I have long ago learned to lay back and let it happen.  You have to go through all the efforts, but it really will happen when it is meant to be.  My faith hasn't let me down yet.

I am glad that Mike's mom is willing to help with the dentist.  They are sooooo expensive.  I know what my bills were last year.  Ugh!!!!
