Monica, welcome to the early morning club. I had my hours changed at work and now come in at 630am so I am up at 5ish each day.As far as the Advil goes make sure that you take it with some food in the pouch so you do not develope an ulcer. I have been told for me it is okay for an occasional use but only with food.

Well, it appears that we Illini's are in for more steamy and wet weather-yeah (NOT). That more then likely means more skeeters. Yes, I have been eaten outside just moving the hose around or turning the faucet on/off. I do my walk right after work - yes it is hot and sunny but I know where all the shaded sidewalks and streets are at.

I am not sure what we are going to do tonight as Dave is mowing the grass today. When he does that he usually is done in for the night. More than likely we will order a pizza or eat leftovers.

Tomorrow we serve food at the Creek to the stage team. I also need to get things straightened us in the house and do laundry as I am taking Thurs & Fri off next week. We are going down to see the tall ships at Navy Pier on Thurs and then to Cedarburg, WI on the weekend.

I'm finding out that I am not a fan of the early morning club.  lol
I used to love mornings but when I had my surgery and all the complications, I became somewhat of a night owl and now I'm having a hard time getting back to my old habits.  It will come when I start working and going to school I'm sure.

Sounds like a full weekend once again for you and Dave! lol  next weekend for sure.  I too need to clean up my house this weekend

It is Friday, the last day of my husbands vacation and we may go to Ikea. I need to find a pair of black capri's to wear on Sunday, so we may have to go to the mall too.

Glad to see Monica is home from the hospital. My cousin had gastric bypass surgery yesterday and will be home tomorrow.

Hope you all enjoy the day! Keep cool and hydrated!

hi Carol!  glad you are back too, we can't ever forget that our OH family is for life.  I love them all, even the ones I haven't met on here yet.  We are all on this  journey together.

I am SO thankful that our a/c got fixed yesterday, it is terribly hot and  humid out today and the poor dogs have had enough of it.  now they are laying under my desk enjoying the cool air!  lol

Good Morning Everyone,

I made it here before I started to do anything else!  It's great to be back on here as well.  I'm going to try to check in daily.  Sometimes I think my life is boring and I don't have much to say.

Monica go to an Oral Surgeon.  An Oral Surgeon takes medical insurance for surgically removing teeth.  I know of a few good ones, in Chicago at Illinois Masonic and 1 in Hoffman Estates.

Paul, I love deals.  This week I went to Kohl's I had a coupon for 30% off everything and a $10.00 off coupon, I walked out paying $22.00 for 2 guy shirts, a toy for the grand kids for Christmas and a clock.  (I started my Christmas Shopping).

Lucy wishing you a safe journey and a speedy recovery.

I'm going for a bike ride this am.  I will be riding in my area today, no trails for me today, my allergies are driving me nuts.  I went out to the trails twice this week.  Tonight I will be going to the Joliet Jackhammers game with my sister and nephew.  Tomorrow heading to the Rockford area, to see my MIL and the grand kids.

I need to vent here.....How can a woman who lives in a long term health care faculty spend $150.00 a month, when everything is provided for her.  I'm just so frustrated with this right now.  I know that doesn't sound like much, but when everything is provided for her, what does she have someone buy for her?  Sometimes I wonder if it is her expenses or if the faculty is buying for others and giving us the bill.  My dh won't ask or say anything, he tells me its my mom what do you want me to do... Thanks for listening.

I hope everyone has a great day, stay cool and hydrated.

Ask for an itemized bill for the expenses.

I agree with Chris.  Ask for an itemized list.  Places like that really over charge for things and it might be stuff you can bring in for her and save some money, instead of having them provide it.

Deanna, I love Kolh's too. But haven't made it there recently.

My cousin is in a long term care place too, and they cover everything. It cost $5400 a month, which we thought was high, but between his SS, pension and medicaid, it is covered. The bad point is that he has to turn everything over tho the state of Mo., and they in turn give him $30. a month for spending. It is kinda sad for someone who makes $4300 a month. I do agree with Chris  too. Get an idemized bill for those expenses.

Hi Deanna

I agree with Chris B, ask for an itemized bill something doesn't sound right.  Is there a way for them to ask you to get what she needs or have to have it authorized by you?

unfortunately the only way an oral surgeon would use my medical insurance is if the teeth are impacted and mine are not.  they have been fully out in my mouth for many years  now and haven't had any problems until now.

My son's allergies are horrible this year too.  Hope you had a good bike ride!

Monica
