Friday Roll Call

Good Morning to my wonderful OH family,

I forgot to mention in my other post that I have been  having problems with my wisdom teeth (the 2 on the left side of my mouth) now for a few weeks and Mike's job cancelled our dental insurance last month, giving us a whopping 2 days notice!  Not really enough time to get into the dentist to have anything done.  So here I sit at 4 am on a Friday in pain again.  Of course Tylenol doesn't do anything for the pain so I have been using Advil, which I know we're not supposed to, but it's the only thing that works, well most of the time.  I do have some T3's here, but those knock me out for hours!

So anyway, what's going on in everyone's world today?  I have to make a few phone calls and study for my certification test for my CMA.  I take the test on Sept 25th and I am nervous.  I took a pre test and didn't do so good.  I'll be okay though, as long as I study. 

Other than that, I really don't have any plans.  Now that our a/c if finally fixed, I may just stay in the house and enjoy it!  When Jacob gets home from school, him and I will take Austyn to meet his grandma for the weekend and then do a little school supply shopping.  The high school doesn't tell us what the kids need til after the first day, then they want the stuff asap!  oh well it will all work out.

Sorry to hear that your teeth are hurting Monica.  You might try tearing a tea bag (Black tea, like Lipton's) and putting it directly over the area that hurts.  The tanic acid in the tea is a natural pain killer that works well on oral issues.

Liz, Meredith and I went shoe shopping last night and everybody got new shoes!  With money so tight, it felt great to hit a big sale and still get lots of stuff.  I also found a body fat analyzer that was marked down 50%!  That was huge savings for a tool I use in my weight loss classes.  It seems to be fairly acurate too!  The professional one that I won on Ebay, still has not come and I fear will not.  The seller has never responded to any emails and I've had to open a dispute with Ebay. 

On the good side, I'm down another pound so life is good today!

That's awesome about everyone  getting new shoes..I love hitting big sales and walking away with a bunch of stuff for a little bit of money.  I did that at JC Penny for interview/school clothes for the kids.  I spent a total of $15 exactly and walked away with 5 things.  For clothes that's not bad at all!  lol

Have a great day and congrats on the loss!  I wish I lived closer to you guys so I could join your class.  It's just too far though with the kids and my school and hopefully a job soon too!

Sorry to hear about your wisdom teeth and the pain! I have a lot of dental work in my future, so I sure understand!

I am having a revision from the RNY/band to DS on Wednesday, I'm going to San Francisco to have the procedure done by Dr. Rabkin who is well known for his revisions. Nicolle had the same surgeon when she did her DS.

I've been going to a fitness center using a trainer and elliptical the past 6 months and it has helped me.

I am so happy to get this darn band out of me. It's been a nightmare with not being able to tolerate much protein but able to tolerate all the wrong foods.

Well, that being said wishing everyone a great Friday.

I've got a beauty shop appointment for a cut and color and wax job so I will be good to go on Wednesday. I am leaving home on Sunday for San Francisco. My mom is coming with me.

hi Lucy!  It's good to "see" you here, though I can't talk, I've been mia for a while now too. 
Congrats on getting the revision, I'm excited for you and anxious to hear how it works for you!  I'll say a prayer that everything goes as planned and you are feeling wonderful again!!

Monica, are you sure that it is your wisdom teeth? I thought I was having an issue with needing a root canal and my dentist took an xray and it is my sinus that is still real full since I had a recent sinus infection.

Unfortunately I know it's my wisdom teeth.  lol  the dentist said that they should never have been allowed to stay in my mouth when I was younger because of how close to the jawbone they are.  Now I have cavities in them and they can't reach it because of that bone.  So I am pretty sure the pain is the cavity reaching the nerve.  the dentist said that the only way to do anything is to get them removed.  :-(   I am such a huge baby when it comes to anything dentisty anyway, so this will not be easy for me!  lol

Hello everyone

I am work...today will go by fast I hope.  Today we are having a going away party for my employee that is leaving because she found a job as a MA.  So there will be lots of temptations.  I will have a little but not over do it.  Then tonight after work we are meeting up for drinks.  WooHoo pina colada time!!! 

Tomorrow I have to work...BOOOO!!!!  After work tomorrow I will be going to my favorite flea market for purses!!!  Then I have a bunch of running around to do.  I don't know if I will get it all done plus work and the flea market.  I have to go to Whole Foods, Meijer, Kohls, Payless, and Walgreens.  Then home to relax.

Oh good news I lost two pounds...Yeah me!!!!

Monica- sorry to hear about your mouth hurting.  The same thing happened to me years ago.  Two of the teeth got infected so they had to come out.
