Happy Monday all! I feel like the little icon and want to go back to

Good luck Monica on your journey of a lifetime!
Hang on because you are in for the ride of your life!

I am just about ready to start my day at the ole IPD. One of my co-workers is back after her taking time off to be with her teen before he starts school again this week.

I have the usual things that need to be done during the week after I leave work, but first I want to get out and walk since the weather is supposed to be better for a few days before the dreaded humidity comes back.

Hello everyone

I am tired also.  I never come back to work on Monday feeling refreshed and rested.

I really love it out in the Ottawa area.  I have done nothing but think about how nice it would be to move out that way since being there.  But of course I couldn't do that unless I found a job out that way too.  We shall see.  I'm not opposed to moving and getting a new job.

Monica-  Good luck on your surgery today.  I'm very excited for you.

Have a nice day everyone.

Hi Everyone,

What a busy weekend I had.  It was so much fun being with friends and family all weekend.

I'm planning on going for a nice bike ride today and make some phone calls.

Wishing everyone a day filled with love and happiness.

Good Morning,

First- Monica is in surgery. She didn't go up until after 8. That is typical  of St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. Have you come in at 6 am, in case the Dr. comes in eariler then planned, I had to hav a procedure done there a few years ago, and they did the same thing to me. Come in at 6, but the department didn't open up  until 7:30 or 8.
I will come back on with more info, when I learn more.

Nothing else is happening here, other then we will be leaving for Peoria in a short while.

Stay safe and hydrated,
Huggers,
LISA

Good morning Illinois!
Today looks like it is going to be a beautiful day!
Since my husband is on vacation this week we are going to be leaving in a few to go to Brookfield Zoo. Lots of walking to be done there.

My thoughts and prayers are with Monica today. I'm sure Lisa will fill us in when surgery is over and she's in recovery.

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am back to work but also could have stayed in bed later.  I think it is the great sleeping weather with the windows opened.

I had a great (if short) time at Lisa's on Saturday.  It is ALWAYS good to see friends.  On the way home, I picked my granddaughter up and took her to Rock City.  We went to a neighbor boy's 3rd birthday party and had a BLAST!!!!  We had a squirt gun battle that wound up with the hose being involved and we all got SOAKED.  Riley thought is was a hoot!  After changing into dry clothes, "Uncle David" helped them do sparklers and set off some fireworks for everyone to enjoy.  I really have to say it again.....David is talented in the way he works with kids.  It is really amazing to watch.  Anyway, we gave all the kids lots of glow jewelry and they played, played and played, until about 10:30 pm.  She slept until 9:30 yesterday!

We then went up to Orfordville, WI for lunch and a nice country drive.  Crystal, if you think Ottowa and Streator are in the country......come on out to our place!

I am thinking if staying in town for the meeting tonight, but we will see.  Both my kids are home today so I guess I will have to see how that works out.

Walking at lunch seems like a great idea!

Everyone enjoy this beautiful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi Folks!  It's been a long time, but I'm back.  It's good to see familiar faces.  Here's my update.  Several months ago my lap-band (the second one that was put in at Centegra) became twisted in such a way that nothing could get through, even water!  So they removed it and said that was it, no more lap bands for me!  I immediately put on about 35 pounds, which was a bit distressing, but I was still doing well.  Since then, I've taken off about 10 pounds through proper eating and good nutrition and have been building muscle at the same time.  I still have a little ways to go to goal, but I'm on a steady track.  I've been teaching weightloss and nutrition at the park district and that has been making it easier to keep on the straight and narrow.  Liz has been taking my course, and she is about 27 pounds down so far!  The kids are doing well and we just returned from our annual trek to the Willow folkfest whi*****luded camping in the cow pasture.  Thanks to major rain on Friday, we spent a very hot and sticky 2 days out there and are happy to be back to showers and indoor plumbing!  I'm looking forward to staying more involved with the OH daily post, so please send your support!

Great to be back!

Hey Paul,
It is great to see you. Please don't leave us again. Just because you had to have your lapband removed, it doesn't mean that we won't be here for you. We are all here for one thing, to support each other.

Hey Lisa,

Thanks for the nice note.  I didn't leave because I lost the band.  Like so many others, I got hooked on Facebook and started seeing everybody there.  But that is not the correct forum for this kind of support.  Although, this forum offers so much more than just weightloss support!

Paul, Your ears must have been burning on Saturday as we mentioned you and that we had not seen you on the board in quite a while. So, do try to be here especially for the male side of things.
