Wednesday Roll Call
Morning everyone and happy day to all that come in later on.
I have a short day at the IPD and then in the early afternoon I need to drive up to Wheeling PD for some training. It will be nice to get out of the office but not nice as it does not end until 5pm, BIG DOUBLE YUCK.
I will stop in downtown Arlington Hts at the running shoe store and treat myself to a new pair of shoes.

Good Morning.
Nuthin going on here today. I think the heat is a big factor in that. I didn't even see any of the neigbor kids running around yesterday.
Today I think I am going out to the backyard and pick it up. Maybe go swimming for a bit. I think we are going out for a bite tonight.

Hello everyone
It has been hot and humid outside, but it's still like a meat locker inside at work. All day yesterday I had a jacket on. It's freezing in this place. There is a feeling of Ahhhh when I walk outside because I can get warmed up.
Tomorrow I'm going to the movies with friends to see "The Other Guys". It looks funny. And I can't get any popcorn!!!! I need to be strong. It's too high in cholesterol.
Well everyone stay cool or you could always come to work with me and freeze...hahaha

I am working today and it is barely cool in here. My boss is a bit of a scrooge. My house is about the same, cooler than outside, but not always "comfortable". Although we have always been ""frugal", the reduction in income is starting to take its toll. I am running out of places to cut back.
Olivia visited the ear Dr. in Madison yesterday for a post-op ear check. She is PERFECT!!!! (At least in the ear, nose and throat. hehehehe!) Her hearing is "normal" and there is NO negative pressure! The tubes are open and doing their job! This is good news! It has been years since she has gotten a good report at the ear doctor! Now, she just has to have the tubes checked every 6 months.
She is cheerleading today and after work, I will run home and think of something yummy for supper. A big salad sounds about right in this heat.
Not much else from this end!

Taking the grand kids out so they can play in the pool for a bit bout 2 then when they all go home making a chicken stir fry for dinner. Just going to try and let the kids enjoy whats left of summer vacation as school starts here on the 20th! The boys are not happy about that either... I need the income, I have done well though this summer on the reduced income, I have even saved some and that's a plus for me. Even with the birthdays all in July, and first of August, we had 5 starting on July 22 right through August 1st... well GOING TO GO MAKE PLAY DOUGH( oops cap locks) pies with Abby, pretending to eat them is the hard part. She's a smart little cookie she watches to see if I am really eating them! Yuck!

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Well, I am still living in the zip code of a sauna so I must be in Illinois. Ugh!
I went to the knee doctor this morning. The good news is that I did not damage my knee replacement hardware. The bad news is I sprained a tendon over my kneecap and it heals slowly. So pain and ice are my friend for awhile. I am just thankful no major damage.
Our offices are on the cold side as well. But then I can get cold at home with the temp set on 75 degrees so go figure. I too have sweaters at work and just dress warmly. It makes it a little uncomfortable outside but I live.
Crystal, your crockpot chicken was wonderful reheated with additional bbq sauce poured on top. MMM good. I just had to convince one cat that it was MY dinner and not hers.
Karen, I can give you some recipes for edible play dough. One is peanut butter. It would have to taste better than the original and you could get some protein in as well as make your granddaughter happy. .
Kids are just too smart sometimes.
I am looking forward to this heat breaking. They promise it will, but I will believe it when I see it.
