Thursday Roll Call

Morning all! I guess everyone is busy as Roll Call has not been started yet.

Need to go to Jewel after work for a few items and then also to Target which is in the same shopping center.

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am kind of tired this morning because David kept me up WAY past my bedtime with stories about his trip.  That, and the smell......He FINALLY got in the shower, and almost kept talking the whole time he was in there.  I LOVE it!  He was so happy to be home, he even hugged Olivia!  Of course, he saved the biggest, smelliest hugs for me.  That is a tradition in our troop.  When the boys come back from campouts, they are usually a bit "ripe" and the first thing they do is give their mom a big ol' hug!  I'll bet he sleeps half the day away......

Tonight is the first dress rehearsal for Liv's show.  The next is on Saturday night with a Sunday show.  These kids have worked really hard and the show is going to be awesome!  I am looking forward to being able to relax when it is over.

So what did you finally decide to make him for dinner?

We marinated pork chops in Trader Joe's Island Soylaki sauce before frying them up.  Boiled red potatoes and brocoli.  I just browned his so that when he heated them up, they would not over cook.
Hi liked it very much.

This morning, he ate a WHOLE BOX of microwave mini-pancakes and we are having lasagne for dinner.

Hopefully, there will be some food left in the house!  lol!!!!

Hello everyone

I just got back from my doctor's appointment.  He was happy with the weight loss.  My blood pressure is normal ( I used to have problems with my BP) .  I can't wait to see how my cholestrol will look like.  It should be lower.  At one time it was 222, I'm hoping it will be under 200>fingers crossed.  I talked to him about my migraines.  I was taking Midrin and that isn't working any more.  So I asked for Imatrex.  But instead he wants me on Darvaset (I don't know how to spell it).  He said migraine medicines have side effects he doesn't like.  So he wants to try this out first. 

Now I will stay late today to make up the time I missed at work.  Then tomorrow it's off to get a fill.  And NO WORK!!!!

Sounds great about your numbers Crystal!  Let me know how the Darvaset does......I can't remember if I've used that for migraines or not.

Crystal,  Congrats on the excellent doctor report1  Dawn,  I dont envy parents with a human garbage disposal aka teen boy.  I just kind of stare at them and am truly amazed at the quantity of food they can eat especially in a growth stage!  I would hate to pay those food bills.  Ouch!  I am sure it is nice to have everyone home again.  

Christine, are your guests still with you?  That is always so interesting to host visitors from another country.  I love learning the differences in cultures.  

Its pretty much the same old stuff for me.   However, I did flunk pet parenting last night.  Claude snuck outside when the Schwanns man was here and I knew he was outside.  I did try to get him in but with no luck.  Then I forgot he was outside, locked up and went to bed.  At 3 am I bolted wide awake and my first thought was "Claude is outside!"  I went to the front door and there he is waiting to come in.  This is one of my 3 legged cats who should not be outside.  I felt terrible.  He is no worse for the wear other than tired.  I am sure he slept all day.  I wish I could say he learned his lesson but somehow I doubt it.  Bad! Kitty!  

Well, thats all that is happening.  I am excited that tomorrow is Friday.  I am ready for the weekend.  Have a great evening and a great Friday!

Yes, Emma is still here. We only have one person staying with us. her brother is staying across town with at another house. Emma will be here until late Saturday afternoon.
