Saturday Roll Call
Well, we are going to yet another play tonight. My neice text me last night and asked if we wanted to come to see Harvey at Rosary HS in Aurora, so we said yes. We love to support the HS arts. I also have last minute "fixes" before Monday. We will be going to the Ren Faire tomorrow, weather permitting for Davey's B-day.
Looks like we are going to get more rain here soon as it is all black to the west. We got another inch overnight.

Open RNY May 7

You are getting the rain that went throough here earlier. No rain now, but it isn't sunny either.
We are busy getting everything ready for our trip tomorrow. I have cleaned out the frig, and there is a load of laundry in the dryer. The bed is made and the kitchen is picked up. I have also made a batch of Rice Krispy Treats. My Monica and Scott are coming up later today.
Have a great weekend.
Huggers,
Lisa
Hello everyone
I already started my day a couple of hours ago. I vacuumed, swept, mopped, and dusted. I'm starting to feel more comfortable. I can't stand it when my house is messy. It literally gives me an unsettling feeling. So today I will do some laundry and start moving stuff into my other bedroom. But right now I am relaxing eating eggs and watching Father of the Bride. Later today I will be going out with an old friend.
My daughter just called me to tell me that her and Charles got a kitty. He is really little. He was a stray. He was already named Lane because he was found sleeping in the street (in the bike lane). So they are going to keep his name as Lane. She said he is still very jumpy but he has settled down a lot after he slept with them. I guess he is starting to feel safe and loved. Amanda is sooo excited. She always wanted a kitty but we always live places that don't allow pets. I want a kitty too. One of these days I will move somewhere that allows kittys
Yesterday night I had to run out to get a belt for my vacuum. I went out to Walmart. While I was there I walked right past my sister. She was waiting for prescription at the pharmacy. Well I was terrible. I basically ran by and hid. I was tired and I really didn't feel like dealing with my sister right then. This sounds bad but we don't get along and she really gets on my nerves. Terrible I know.
Well have a great weekend
It is a quiet Saturday for me. I slept in this morning. I stayed up late last night trying to come up with ideas of what I wanted to plant in my newly cleared out backyard. I still haven't decided. May make a trip to a nursery to explore. It looks so bare now. The weeds had taken over but at least it was green.
Crystal, I am sure Amanda & Charles will really enjoy Lane. If you havent guessed it by now, I am nuts about my cats. They bring me so much joy. I ended up getting my first one when I lived at a place that my landlord really did not want pets but I had only asked about a dog not a cat. So by the time they discovered that a cat had adopted me it was too late

Lisa, I have enjoyed DC every time I have been there. I know you will have a really good time. Just be prepared to be pooped! There is so much to see and do! There are bus and other tours that take your to the various sites and they are well worth it. One thing that I really think is important to see is the Holocaust museum. It is very well done. I saw it before I spent a month in Poland and saw a real concentration camp. They did and excellent job of recreating the entire experience. Very moving and affected me very much, but I am very glad I went.
Dawn, I hope David is having the time of his life!
No special plans for the weekend other than the usual stuff. Have a great weekend!
Cat Lady
Sorry for not writing sooner, but have just been busy with summer stuff and also not to much "exciting" stuff to post about! But I DO love reading everyones posts everyday!
Today was a sleep in day. We got 7" of rain last night and so our basement was pretty flooded. (Sump pump and shop vac was working overtime). My garden is spewing out so many tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini that neighbors are running and hiding when they see us coming over to their homes with shopping bags of fresh garden veggies for them!
Did some shopping and then ran around to get extra pet food (Once a month a donate a big 50 lb bag of cat and dog food to our local shelter) gotta deliver those tomorrow.
Surgery wise, I am doing really well! It was my 1 month surgiversary the other day and I FEEL really good and have lost a bunch of inches! I stalled on my weight loss about a week and a half ago (and have only maybe lost 1 lb in that week and a half) when I started transisioning to soft and regular foods. I know it's just one of those "stalls" and am paitiently waiting for my body to "catch up" and shift things around.
I hope ALL my friends here in IL have a wonderful weekend! Chris, I hope that sinus infection is gone now!
(((((hugs everyone!)))))
Warmly,
Jackie
I have a birthday party today for my youngest daughter, she turned 30 today...Wow where did the time go? Sitting here remembering her baby days makes me remember my sister so I am crying again. So I am cleaning before we go to dinner, don't want puffy eyes...
Tomorrow my grandson will be 8, then we are done with the July, August parties..
I know my sis would not want me to cry like this so I just keep telling myself this and it helps...She was my very best friend.
Well have tons I want to get done before 5 so have a great evening!
Karen
