Friday Roll Call
Morning and good day to all! Just about ready to start my day and it is going to be a long day due to very little work that needs to be divided btwn 2 peeps. Oh well, maybe that will mean a 1/2 day vaca for me.
Going with some friends to see My Fair Lady at a local community theater group. We saw it 2 weeks ago and it was really good.

Hello everyone
I hate days like Christine's, when there's not enough work it does make the day go by slowly. My day will be busy, busy, busy. It's the last day of month end and there's always a flurry of activity to get everything done before the end of the day. I will be staying late today.
Yesterday I saw Inception and I really liked it. It was all about dreams and the mind.
My house will need some cleaning this weekend. I will be busy fixing up that room. It will be nice to have an extra room. But tonight when I get home I am going to relax.
Well I better get going. Have fabulous Friday

Today is the day to tie up any loose ends before we leave on Sunday.
We spent yesterday afternoon looking for a new camera. The old one I was told, was to old to get memory cards for.It was only 3 years old. So, I bought a fairly cheap Kodak . This afternoon i plann on goingto a local park and practice taking pictures.

I just wanted to wish you a safe and happy trip.
I don't know what your itinerary is, but David will be back in DC on Wednesday morning, before they head home. They will be touring the Einstein Statue, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the National Archives (time permitting) all between 9:30 am and noon!
Have fun and wear your walking shoes!

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today as is Liv. Then, after I pick her up, we are going over to see how helpful we can be with Amber's move. Liv is going to spend the night and help her tomorrow while we work at the Airfest. We got a good assignment this year----VIP Tent in the "Chalets" on the flight line. This is for the Airport VIPs. We just have to keep order and make sure the caterers have enough food and beverages on hand. Not a bad way to spend the day.
When we are done at the airport, we are planning on attending a big screening of the Boy Scout's Centennial Celebration being held at the Jamboree. If anyone is interested, you can also view it streaming on your computer (www.ustream.tv/shininglight) at 7:00 pm Saturday. I am 99% sure we will not catch a glimpse of David, but it still will be fun.
I wish you all a spectacular day (and weekend if I don't make it back).

Good Afternoon Christine and Everyone!
Christine, I hope you were able to escape early like I was. I know what you mean about sitting at work with nothing to do. Yesterday was the only day I put in a full 8 hours. I am sure that when I get my paycheck, I may think twice about how nice all this free time was but I sure am glad to have it off! I know that soon we will be so busy we wont know which end is up so I am taking the time off while I can get it.
Too bad it is cloudy today but I did eat my lunch outside. It is still nice temp wise. When I got home today I found that the men who were going to work in my yard had been there and I now have a reclaimed back yard.
It went from a jungle to bare in just a few shore hours. Now, it needs lots of bark and I need to decide what I am going to plant in my beds. Trees and bushes got a good pruning and I have lost plants over the years so it is like starting over. That is ok, because, now I can manage it. Its kind of fun to be back in the planning stages.

I really did not notice any clouds. I have spent this week:
On the phone with doctors offices, hospitals and insurance folks tying up what is hopefully the end of the billing snafus from our surgeries.
Sorting through all of the bookeeping I did not do when I really did not expect to be alive now.
So now it will be time to pass that information along to all who have been laboring under the impression I would not be doing that and sorting out how to make it all normal again.
