Friday Roll Call
It is finally Friday. It has been a long busy work week. Crystal, sorry you have to work tomorrow, but it is overtime.

I am working today as well. No plans for the weekend except to veg and do some housework.
What is happening in your world?
Dawn, you will look back on these busy years and wonder how you did it all. But then, thats what mothers do.
Everyone have a great day, stay safe and hydrated.
Huggers,
LISA
Yes Lisa is right I have to work tomorrow. It is overtime so that's good thing and it's only 4 hours. I'm going in bright and early so I can leave early. Otherwise, it feels like my whole Saturday is gone. So I will work 6-10am tomorrow.
Tonight I will go to Whole Foods for meat, dairy and produce (I try to eat only organic). I will then go to Meijer and Ulta. Tomorrow depending on things go I may get a mani and pedi. We shall see.
I still haven't joined a gym. I don't know why I'm so freaked out to even walk into the building. I almost feel like they will kick me out for being overweight...hahaha.
Well have a nice day....stay cool.
Well, one kid on her way and David leaves at 3:30 AM tomorrow.
I got a bit of a break last night (since faily night at camp was cancelled) and had the time to sew patches on one of David's uniforms. I brought the other in with me today, maybe I can get them done at lunch.
I am SO excited for him....the Jamboree is a big deal, but it is also the 100th year of Scouting, so it is a BIGGER deal this time. They are going to spend a couple of days in Washington DC before heading to the base.
Amber has been having some issues with her stepson involving custody (his mother's boyfriend has been physically abusing him) and so far, the system seems to be working! I am VERY glad since unfortunately, that is not always the case. So, he is safe and I am very proud of ALL my kids.
After work, a few errands, then home to get David packed up and the turkey in the brine for tomorrow. I think I might even have time to try a corn recipe too. Then, early to bed to get him to Freeport SO EARLY in the morning, then home for more sleep (hopefully). Todd is going to meet us at the bus to tell David goodbye, then he has to go back to camp. They will break camp later tomorrow morning and Todd should be home in the early afternoon to enjoy "A Day in Rock City" with me. It will be strange not having my kids home. We will get over it, I am sure!
I wish everyone a spectacular day!
Last night I decided to get our suitcases out of the back of my daughter’s (Steph) closet. Steph’s room looked really nice as I walked through and then I made the mistake of opening the closet door!! ACK! She had shoved all the junk into her closet. No wonder her room looked good, giggle! (Guess I should have checked under her bed too!) So we went through her clothes on hangers and the other “stuff" and now I have 3 garbage bags of clothes and 2 boxes of goodies to make another trip this weekend to the donation center. Early on, I injured my thumb nail and caused a deep tear and I had to lay on the bed to trim it because I was getting whoozy from the blood and minor pain. I’m such a wimp, ha.
Nancy – Have you been to Fashion Bug in Peru lately to see if they have any more bigger discounts? I bought some $2 t-shirts from a Wal-Mart that had their after 4th of July sales. Great for working out in or working around the house.
If the kids aren’t working, we’d like to take them to Rock Falls to see about 35-40 WW II planes that are stopped there for a couple days before the planes head up to Osh-Kosh.
Have a great weekend all ! ! !
Jen
This is an addendum. Apparently sometimes you must talk about your plants as well as to them. One tomato plant has put on two blooms.
I am home!

Right now I don't have any special plans for the weekend. I am planning to meet up with my niece sometime in the next 2 weeks to see the baby but don't have a date nailed down yet.
Crystal, I am sorry you have to work but at this point it is so hot, you almost get to the point that you don't want to do anything.
Dawn, you have to behave yourself this weekend. With no kids around to chaperone you, who knows what kind of trouble you can get yourself into.

Everyone have a great weekend!
