'Mornin all and G'day to those that check in later in the day. We have the majority of our easement hydro seeded and now we just need to keep it hydrated through this heat. Hopefully we will not get a downpour to wa**** down the little incline back there.

After work today I am going to see if I can dash off real fast and get some fruits and veggies at Caputo market if not then tomorrow. I have a tight schedule because we need to be at support group 1/2 hr earlier than usual.

That is it for me in a nutshell. What is happenin' in your world?

Hello everyone

Well I had a really good evening.  I was sitting at home relaxing last night and the there was a knock at the door....I answered the door and it was AMANDA AND CHARLES!!!!  I was soooo surprised!!!  They spent the day at a bea*****hicago and decided to drop by for a surprise visit.  And I was indeed surprised.  They have to leave today so they just spent the night but it was nice to see her.

Well I should be getting my iPhone either today or tomorrow.  I can't wait!!!

I know it's been very hot but I am not going to complain.  I would rather it be 95 degrees than -20 degrees and snowy.  So I will not complain.

Well I hope everyone enjoys their day

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today, then get to go to family night with David at camp.  UGH!!!  Woods, bugs, heat & hunidity!  Oh well, he is a trooper and I need to be supportive.  I will take him dinner and watch the camp show, then home to the AC!  He will be spending the night, so I feel for him.

Not much else exciting today.....

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning World,

Dawn, you are such an awesome Mom. You do so much for your kids.

Crystal, those are the kind of visits you cherish.

Christine, enjoy support group tonight. Now that I have decided to attend them again, I realize how much they help you stay on track.

My darling husband is really being sweet this week. He surprised me on Tuesday with a midweek run to the Iowa boats, then yesterday , he
allowed me to get a new phone with all the trimmings. His only comment was that we are now paying more for phones every month then what our house payment used to be.

today I need to pick up the house, run to the store, and get ready for a fast trip to St. Louis.  I will try to post tomorrow, but not sure.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and hydrated.

Huggers,
LISA

Morning, Chris and Illinois,

Glad you've got the easement seeded, Chris, that will sure be nice when it's all done!  I've had our granddaughter today and yesterday.  I went for my 3 month checkup and class yesterday.  I'm down 71 pounds today and I'm only 3 pounds away from my 75%.  The doctor gave me my goal of 20 - 30 pounds more and said he really thinks I'll make it.  I was very excited about that.  He said all my labs were good and I don't need to add any supplements.  I don't think I'm going to add in any more carbohydrates right now, I really don't miss anything yet and I'm very satisified with my 1/2 cup of fruit and veggies.  This has sure been the best thing I've ever done for myself!

We then went to a swimming party at my cousin's and had a great time.  We're just going to hang around the house and play today.  Doesn't get any better than that.

Hope everyone else has a great day.

Hi Everyone:
Sounds like all of your are busy and running around and enjoying summer! That is great!
Today was my first trip to Wally World (Walmart) in like 8 months? Normally I am not much of a shopper and if I need anything just run to Kmart or Target which are literally right up the street.
But since I needed some small stuff for post Bariatric surgery, and since Walmart is the only place that carries Liquid Centrum around here, my family and I decided to brave it. LOL

I had a blast! Normally the pain would have kicked in after just 15 minutes of standing and walking but I was in there like nearly 2 hours walking and standing with no problems. By the time I got to the car I was exhausted and had spent too much, but it was needed! The only thing I kinda splurged on was two new short two sizes smaller than I normally wear. I know come early september/October the stores will only have winter stuff when I need that size, and it won't be cold enough for full time jeans here in St.Louis in September. LOL!

I made the neatest concoction for my puree/mushy diet.

Smiling Belly Salmon Salad
1 sm can salmon (red or pink) do NOT drain liquid or bones.
2-3 TBS of NO-Fat Mayo
1-2 TBS of cottage cheeze
Salt/pepper/ to taste (I also like to use CURRY powder! YUM!)

Mix salmon and mu**** good with a fork. Just mixing vigorously with a fork will make it the right consistencey. Add your Mayo and Cottage cheeze, mix some more. Add spices mix some more.
For NEWLY post Ops (In stage 2-3) you can just eat it as is. Contains a good 13 grams of Protein and no carbs! For those who can eat regular food you can add this mixture to some salad greens or maybe a low carb bread or cracker or tortilla.

Hope everyone enjoys!
Warmly,
Jackie
