Wednesday Roll Call
Revision on 04/19/13
Morning,
It is suppose to be really hot and steamy today. Please stay hydrated.
I had a great day yesterday. DH surprised me and said he wanted to over to Davenport to the gaming boat. He didn't have to ask twice.
Today, I will stay cool in the pool, clean the kitchen floor and pick up.I also want to check with my boss and find out if there are any changes I need to know about before we head back to work on Monday.
Have a great, and safe day.
Huggers,
LISA

Hello everyone
I am working of course.
I finally made an appointment for another fill and for my blood work. I was up early this morning and there was an infomercial on for some diet plan. I found myself wanting to order it. I thought to myself "no I'm not going to order this I had surgery and I will let my surgery help me not some diet" that's why I made an appointment for a fill. I haven't had a fill since March and I have been trying to go without a fill, but I decided that it's stupid to do that.
My ex-sister-in-law's husband (we are still really good friends) is going to have WLS on the 26th. He just started his liquid diet. He is having a hard time of it. I keep telling him to come on here for support. That there are tons of people here that have been through what he's going through right now.
Well I better get going...see ya later.

Hang in there Tinks on that 6 month diet. It is such fun ---- NOT. Make sure your doctor is documenting your weight, exercise attempts and what you are eating as well as any diet medicines or issues that you have had EACH month. I did a chart after I had to repeat my 6 month diet due to not enough documentation.
Not trying to discourage you but forewarn you to make sure it is in your charts!

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today, and getting ready to head to Wally World at lunch to pick up some mulch and a few other things. Tonight, Liv and the middle school group have rehearsal, so I will be at the theater all evening.
I have just come to realize that Todd will be leaving on Sunday for a whole week with his Scouts for summer camp. Not only will I miss him, but I will have to get BOTH kids to all their various jobs and obligations......should be interesting!
Not too much else exciting going on. I got a great quote off of Facebook yesterday and am going to post it as it's own subject. I think it is very wise and all of us can relate to it greatly. I think I need to print it out and post it in various places where I will see it throughout the day as a daily affirmation!
Everyone have a great day and stay cool!

Good Morning OH Illinois, Been on and off here for a couple of months since I restarted this journey to WLS. Been mostly lurking here trying to learn what to expect. Was scheduled for RnY on 6/28, but got postponed for 3 weeks due to primary doc's mistakes, but now the "new date" of 7/19 is just around the corner, so the anxieties are rising again. Not fussing too much, but I do feel it inside a bit. I've never had any kind of real surgery before, so I know it's a lil bit of that. Just nervously rambling a bit here, but working today, off to Minneapolis for a cousin's wedding tomorrow, back on Sun and procedure Mon morning. Been stocking up on SF popsicles, crystal light and protien sources for post surgery. I've been using Bariatric Fusion Vitamins but am hearing that they may not be as complete as "Celebrate" or "Bariatric Advantage", anybody tried these? Sorry for the ramblin post. Have a great Thursday everyone
Welcome to the Illinois Board, Gregg!
The nervousness you feel is normal. We all had it. You are about to change your life for the better and I wish you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. If you can, have someone let us know how you are doing on Monday. I will be thinking of you.
I do not know about the "bariatric" specific vitamins. I take many, many supplements, because I have trouble believing that one pill will do it all. For a multi-vitamin, I have been taking a children's chewable (generic) one each morning and evening. I just got back from the store and saw that "Centrum" has a chewable that had a bit more in it for very close to the same price, so I will be trying them soon. The only simple rule that I follow is that I take twice (at least) of the daily dose of any viatmin due to mal-absorption. I take more of the things that my bloodwork shows I am deficient in (D3, iron) and that I do not WANT to become deficient in.
Sounds like you are on the right track and come back often. We have a great group of supportive people and Lisa is having a "meet and greet" at her house in about a month, if you are interested. Look for her post......
Glad to "meet" you!

Welcome Gregg!
Glad to meet you! You have arrived at a very supportive spot of people who will help you get through the challenges and successes of the next few months and beyond! It is great to have you here! Good luck on your surgery on Monday. It sounds like you are stocking up right. I think I am a number one fan of sugar free popcicles! I eat them year around. They really take away that urge to munch! Hope to see you around lots. Keep us posted! If you have questions, concerns or just want to chat, post away. We are here.
