Saturday Roll Call

Good morning, all,

Sounds like it is going to be a beautiful day.  I'm heading to Lowell, Indiana this morning.  Our garden club is taking a bus to a nursery, Garden on the Prairie, where we will have a tour and lunch and then we are going on the Lowell garden walk.  I'm looking forward to it.

We went out for dinner last night and I ordered salmon.  It was way overcooked and so dry.  I ate a little of it but felt like I would get sick if I tried any more.  I was so disappointed, it sounded so good.  I was going to ask the waitress for some melted butter but then I didn't know how I would handle that either.  Oh well, I should have stuck with my first instinct of getting the shrimp ****tail, next time I'll know better.

I've also learned that I can't tolerate any meat that has been reheated, no matter how moist it looks.  Just have to live and learn with this I guess.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Lynn

Gutten Tag everyone!

Lynn that garden tour and walk sounds neat. You should have sent the food back and gotten something else. You are paying for it and you should get a meal that has been fixed properly.

We are heading out to Platt Hill nursery ourselves this morning. I need pins to hold down weed barrier. We are going to put it around the new drain for a temporary fix to keep the black dirt from being washed in until we can get the yard relandscaped and seeded. In theory it should work, we are crossing our fingers. Afterwards we need to stop in at Len's Ace on the way home for some more of the long handled matchless fire starter thingies. After that we will stop in at a little breakfast joint and have a small bite to eat. We might hit the pool again today before going to Itasca Fest.

You're right Christine and they did give us $10 off of the bill when I told the waitress why I didn't eat much which I thought was fair (the salmon was $14.95 including salad and potato which my husband ate).  By then though, I didn't really want to try eating something else, I was afraid I would get sick!

I have to get my English/German dictionary out. I know some of the words and that is it.

Hello everyone

I am only running out to Walgreens today and the rest of the day I am staying home and cleaning up and doing a load of clothes (it's so nice to be able to do laundry whenever I want).  I will workout today.  I am introducing leg weights on the treadmill.  Strength training is very important in rebuilding your metabolism.

Lynn- I have a problem with reheated meat too.  I found out at work with a lunch I brought and ended up in the bathroom.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday

Good Morning.

I think i am going to walk to the bank today, then walk down to the farmers market.

I think I am going to make a meatloaf for dinner tonight. I have 2 llbs of hamburger in the frig.

Yesterday, i did various things around the house. We stayed home last night. DH spent most of the day sleeping. He wasn't feeling good. He did go to work this morning.

Lynn, leftovers of meat don't work for me either. When we go out, i usually stick to a bowl of soup or just a starter. Most kids meals are fried, so I never order them. Even after almost 3 years, my eyes are sometime bigger then my pouch.

Have a great safe day.

Huggers,
LISA

The Abilities Expo at the Schaumburg Convention center was a lot of fun.  I rode a recumbant that I am still officially too heavy for.

Trying to get myself psyched up to go out to Computer Connections.

 Good Morning All!

I am so glad it is Saturday.  Lynn, enjoy your garden tour.  It sounds like fun!  I too sometimes have trouble with meat especially when it is dry.  I don't eat out a lot but when I do, I often eat off the appetizer menu and that is usually the right portion for me or I get something that I know wont be reheated.

The trapper just came and collected his traps.  He set 4 last night and the only thing caught was the neighbors cat!  She was none the worse for wear and did not even react when released.  Just hung around for breakfast.  She often eats at my house.  He does odd jobs for me in exchange.  It works for us.

No special plans for today.  The humidity is still up there.  So I am not sure if I am power washing the deck or not.  We shall see.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
