Finding In Person Support Groups

I live near Chicago.  I am going through an emotional mess and want to talk to peopple in person. Does anyone know of any support groups that meet on a regular basis. Any help will be appreciated.

Where in the Chi-town area are you at? I am in Itasca. I was going to suggest that you come in and join us on the daily roll call. There are people from all over IL there with many of them being in and near Chi-town.

The daily roll call is found on the Illinois Main page under _____ Roll Call.  ____ = the day of the week.   Anyone is welcome to post.  It is where we post what is going on in our lives.  We are a friendly group and our very supportive of one another.  We offer support in all areas including weight loss and just life in general.  

Everyone is welcome to come on as often as they wish.  Most of us try to respond on a daily basis but do not always make it depending on what is going on in our lives.  Someone (anyone) usually starts the roll call around 5-6 am and it continues through out the day.

Well, there is a public support group that was mentioned by the first poster to your question. Do you have a doctor locally?

You might want to check Central Dupage Hospital. They have a bariatric program but I am unsure if they have a support group.
